The flavor is very, VERY BLAND. I will have to roast these gently myself to get any flavor out of these nuts. That being siad, the nuts were FRESH and had no residual coating on them, which is a good thing. Makes them easy to roast. Still, these are the BEST hazelnuts I have gotten to date. I enjoy the rich flavor, which is missing in these. Roasting under low heat will bring out the flavor, but I have had them arrive without havinbg to further roast them to get the good flavor. Overall a good, if not great, product.

Apparently my understanding of what Hazelnuts should taste like is not in sync with most reviewing this products. But I like a strong, positive flavor that is distinctly shouts HAZELNUT. This is not that product. Though very crunchy (something I've never personally associated with Hazelnuts), they are very light colored (almost as if raw), and have only the faintest flavor of Hazelnut. Nothing like what I've become used to (in most roasted Hazelnuts and in European Chocolates). Quite a disappointment. But perhaps, if I grew up eating these "What Are They" nuts...I might love them too. Alas, I didn't...and I don't.And though most of the nuts seem fairly fresh, I would have to say that just enough of them are rancid (or heading in that direction) to taint the overall impression of these nuts. Not much better in this respect than Trader Joe's Roasted Hazelnut from Oregon...which are far more flavorful (but just as prone to some "Not So Fresh" pieces)...but at a significantly lower cost. Guess I'll just have to keep looking.

This was my first time ordering the huge 3lb bag, and I assumed it would be an uglier bulk package, but it's still in the beautiful blue resealable bag. The quality is outstanding. Not all hazelnuts are created equal. These are almost sweet and I have yet to find one of those slightly rancid ones that occasionally ruin my experience. I have these in subscription because I can't live without them.

I had opened and taste these nuts as soon as I received them. I was so excited and had high expectations on them. But I must say that they taste old. I mean the flavor tastes like the oil in the nuts are old. I didn't open the second bag but I thought I could return them. But Amazon returns said this item is not eligible for return. I bought 3 bags and feel very disappointed!

We liked it and it tasted ok. After we snacked about a pound later, I tried to roast it a little extra in the air fryer for 3 minutes. The taste was a whole new level! Felt like we’ve been eating raw although I know raw would be much worse. It is probably worth 5 stars for the value and freshness but I can’t eat as is anymore after trying the “real” cooked one.

When I get these, I toast them by frying them in a pan until they are somewhat browned. To my sensibility, this makes them more flavorful, and it dries them out a bit changing the texture.We add these to our breakfast meal, and sneak a few now and again through the day.

Hazelnuts are my favorite nuts but can't find them in stores very often as they are usually mixed with other nuts and heavily salted, but this brand is the answer for all what i want: roasted, unsalted and non GMO. They are perfectly roasted and freshly packed with no odor or any bad surprises at least the two times i ordered the double 16oz pack. i eat them usually at night to fill me up to avoid eating carbs and they do the trick.

It is hard to find roasted and skinned hazelnuts where I live. I have ordered these a few times. They are fresh and taste wonderful. I make homemade Nutella with them, a family favorite!
