One Star
Read like a teenager wrote it. Dull, cliche ridden, and predictable.

Cliched, disposable.
Ooof. This was hard to get through. It's filled with a trite story and cliched dialogue. Parts of the story make no sense - and not as in "mysterious and unanswered questions yet to be revealed", but rather "this makes no sense within the logic of the story itself". Key plot points, which should feel important and momentous, are glossed over and come off as cheap beats and hackneyed plot devices in a rather unimaginative story. In all, the plot and script both come off as lazy, shallow and uninspired. The two stars I did give it are solely due to Ted Slampyak's art. I've seen him produce some really great layouts and pencils in other works, and while a lot of the art in "Savage" is merely serviceable, every once in a while there comes a panel that shines and shows what Slampyak is truly capable of.Save your money on this and seek out Slampyak's "Jazz Age Chronicles" or "Mr. Hero, the Newmatic Man" instead.
