Wow...Just...Wow!!
I don't know what to say... I don't know where to begin! This book was so much better than Alpha! There was SO much action, drama and excitement! This book took the "crazy ex-girlfriend" to another level and then some!In Alpha, Kyrie St. Claire and Valentine Roth get together, defying the odds and obstacles that should have kept them apart. They are in love (say it with me now: Awwwwww!) and they embark on an around-the-world trip (Roth owns property, like, everywhere... even though sometimes they apparently stayed on a boat). Their fun and sexy vacation turns into a nightmare when someone from Roth's past resurfaces...Gina Karahalios. She is more than a crazy AF ex... she's an effin psychopath! The things that Gina does... it's so off the rails... even crazy people would say "WTF?!"In this book, we get a lot of detail about Roth's past (which helps to explain why he is the way he is). We also get to see Kyrie go legit bada$$.Just like in Alpha, there were lots of descriptive sex scenes; but, unlike Alpha, they (most of them, anyway) serve a purpose and enhance the story. (It was kind of intense, y'all!)I absolutely LOVE Roth, Harris and Henri! I don't think there was anything I disliked about this book. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat.Even though, technically, this book doesn't end in a cliffhanger, it kinda does. Vitaly Karahalios is on a rampage...and he's gunning for Roth and Kyrie! What's gonna happen! Gotta read Omega next to find out!

CAUTION THE WARNING SIGNS ARE BLINKING
Cause this was a hellva bumpy ride!!! Oh my gosh I wasn’t sure if I would like this continuation since Alpha was good but had some instances of being drawn out but now I understand due to the emotional plots in Beta. This book has everything...it is exciting, an adrenaline rush, absolutely mind blowing! LOVED IT! From the first chapter to the end my heart was racing trying to get to the conclusion. I normally don’t read books with a lot of physical violence but it was so worth it...storyline was PHENOMENAL! So many twists and turns, action and psychological plots I could not put this book down. It truly was un-freakin-believable. Ms. Wilder had you in the moment (will not provide any spoilers) - using all your senses, seeing the bloodshed, feeling the brokenness, hearing the sounds of destruction, smelling the decay of destruction, and yes, even tasting the destructive aftermath. I cannot wait to start Omega and finding out how it ends. For those on the fence go ahead and buy this series - Beta alone is worth the price and I would be remiss if I fail to mention that this book is also an ABSOLUTE love story...really a good book! PLEASE TAKE HEED TO THE GRAPHIC WARNINGS BEFORE PURCHASING although disturbing I thought it was appropriate for the overall storyline. If I could I would give this book 10 stars...you go Wilder I’m a fan for life!

Wow 😳
Man and I thought Alpha was good! *BTW you must read Alpha - book 1 to clearly understand Beta. This book was action packed from the start I couldn't put it down!!l I loved Kyrie and Roth their loved was tested (understatement) but they preserved!! The hero & heroine are both Strong and both had to overcome a lot.I won't give away the story but trust me if you love a great love story, steamy love scenes, strong characters, mystery, angst and an action pack story you must read this book!*Side note Beta also contains rape, violence, blood, kidnapping & killing just an FYIOk I'm off to read the last book Omega and I can't wait.

Intense
At the end of Alpha, Kyrie returns to Roth even after she learns his secrets. The two embark on a world tour until Roth's arms dealing past comes back to haunt them. Kyrie wakes up one morning at his chateau in France and discovers that Roth has been kidnapped. The kidnapping sets off a chain of events that have devastating consequences for the couple. Can their love survive these tests?Holy crap!  This book grabbed me from the first sentence and didn't let me go until the last one. I had no idea Wilder could write such intense romantic suspense. The whole book reads like an action movie  (In fact during the car chase scene,  I totally heard the James Bond theme when Harris got put of his car and killed the bad guy).In addition to all the suspense,  Kyrie and Roth heat up the pages just like they did in Alpha. This time though, the scenes  seemed more potent,  especially because of what the couple was going through. One of the things Wilder returns to is her penchant for putting her readers on an emotional roller coaster. Roth is severely abused during his kidnapping, which puts a huge strain on their relationship. Kyrie develops a violent side, which made me cheer but I am sure it will have an effect on her.I would highly recommend this book and series to anyone who likes romance. There is a little something in it for everyone.

Warning this is not a happy go lucky story but the writing is beyond amazing!
I absolutely LOVED Alpha! I fell madly in love with Valentine Roth and couldn't wait to sink my teeth in to Beta. I pre-ordered without knowing anything else about what was to come.Let me start off by saying that I avoid books with angst, rape, brutality etc. and if I do happen to read one, it's by accident. I don't read reviews either. Forget what you read in Alpha, just forget it because Beta is going to take you on a journey that you will not be prepared for or forget. The suspense was gripping and the story was beyond amazing. Jasinda's writing just took me over the edge and I free falled. As much as I wanted to put this book down because of certain violent situations, that left me sick to my stomach, I just couldn't. It was that f*cking good. This is not my type of read. I wouldn't have picked it but there was no way I could give it anything less than the 5 STARS it deserves. This story will push you beyond your limits, I know it did for me.

It's okay
There are some grammatical and editorial errors that irritated but didn't kill the book. The manipulative coercion from the previous book isn't present in this book, it's focus is more action based with two kidnappings and a lot of gun play. There are a couple of potential triggers relating to rape.I don't really know what to write about the book, the characterisation isn't the strongest, I still found I didn't care about either lead character, I found more empathy for Harris and Alexei.I thought Kyrie insipid and the personality traits of Roth didn't lend themselves to a man of his standing. There are numerous sex scenes and some swearing.

A little darker than I expected
I'm a little conflicted with this one. I was fighting with myself over if I should continue reading or leave it after chapter 3.Still I couldn't put it down an read it within 3 days.I really enjoyed the action side if this story more so than the sex scenes which I enjoyed in the first one.I also liked how we got to see things from valentine's point of view as well.However.***spoiler alert***The Male rape scene I wasnt to much if a fan off, kyrie and roths scene after she saved him, wasnt a fan off.I felt it gave the book a very very dark an twisted feel too it.With that said I still read it all and enjoyed 90% of it and yes I'm about to go and buy omega.

Wow .... didn't see that coming !!
I'm a bit lost for words.... Love the first book of this series, ALPHA was a mysterious book of seduction which turned into love. This book BETA is fast, thrilling and very intense. It goes in a completely different direction that I didn't expect or see coming. Love the lead characters Valentine and Kyrie, you get to no Harris a lot more in this book also. Kyrie is so strong in this story, I was really scared for her ! Love Jasinda's writing, she goes into so detail without going on and on, and the love scenes she writes are epic. Don't want to say to much about the story, I don't want to spoil the surprise of the direction it takes. What I will say is there are some truly evil characters in this book..... When I read the reviews on Beta, a few were a bit disappointed in the ending. I didn't mind the ending, it does end quite abruptly. But that said it left you thinking and wondering about it long after finishing the book, i'd say for an author that's a job well done. Read the authors note at the end, Jasinda explains why she left as she did. It is also left open for a 3rd book if the author wishes, but there no promise of one. Really recommend this 2nd book, fast paced action..... Love it.

must read!!
This book is completely different to how I thought it would be, and so much different to Alpha which is the first book! I was pulled into the story from the start and realised straight away the turn it would take, it was full of action and suspense with some very hard scenes that I had graphic imagery in my mind, it wasn't hard to read at all and added to the way the great story was being written! plenty of hot steamy scenes added which is what I'd expect from Roth and kyrie :)A great read and I wanted it to continue, I really am hoping more of this story will be written as the ending does leave it very open!!!!

A real page turner
A dark intense offering from Jasinda Wilder. The book handles terrible situations and appalling circumstances and leaves you desperate to read more. The underlying message for me was that love would conquer all but some of the scenes in this book were horrific. Roth and Kyrie's romance darkens and is forced to breaking point as Roth's past catches up with him and threatens everything he holds dear.Jasinda Wilder continues to amaze me with the versatility of her writing. This book is a gripping real page turner of a thriller rather than a romance. A brilliant read and I half hope that there isn't another one - I'm not sure I could take it!
