Great quality for the price.
Excellent knife, solid. This will not fold under pressure, the handle has fantastic grip.

Really good knife!
I really like this knife. Although it is primarily designed as a boot knife, it makes and excellent daily carry knife. The scales are grippy without being offensive. It has full skeletonized liners contributing to its’ light weight. It carries well in my pocket. I don’t use clips, so I don’t know if it is good or bad. It seems like a normal clip to me.Mine came pretty sharp and the fit and finish are top notch. All told, mine is a really good knife and works well as designed for a lot of tasks.

Good knife, but needs a lot of breaking in
Want a strong knife with good lock up in a spearpoint shape? This is your knife. Want it to open easily out of the box without fiddling with it? Look elsewhere. Straight out of the box, this knife is tight. You can't even open it with one hand. After weeks of treating it like a fidget toy, I finally have it broken in and it deploys smoothly and easily with just the thumbscrew. Probably the better thing to do with it would have been to disassemble the knife and apply metal polish (or even a dremel), but I didn't feel like taking a chance on it. Out of the box its a 3/5. After breaking it in, its a 5/5.

I love it
This is a perfect EDC knife for me i love the design it's the perfect size for me for pocket carry the 4" blade is razor sharp and handy for every day tasks whilst also being handy for other things if needed. The Tri-Ad locking is solid i love this locking system from Cold Steel , the handle is very ergonomic great for many different holding styles...I like it so much i just ordered it's big brother 6" version...It also comes in a small 3" version for tiny people :-)

For the money you can’t beat it.
This knife is awesome. This is my second one, I had one a few years back in AUS-8A and it was pretty good (it disappeared mysteriously). I bought another one this year and am very pleased with it. The upgrade to AUS-10 is great it’s a decent steel. The texture on the handle is different than I remember on the first one I owned, but in a good way. I wear large/x-large gloves and it fits my hand perfectly. The ergonomics are excellent, and it performs edc tasks perfectly, for me. Is it the smallest and lightest knife with the best steel around? No. It’s a workhorse though. If you don’t mind the extra (slight) bulk and weight, this knife will be perfect for you, and also it’s under $60 so really you are getting an excellent knife for the price. Good job Cold Steel.

Good blade steel, rough handle, feels unfinished for the price.
The media could not be loaded. Wanted a spear point knife as I've never owned one and usually like Cold Steel products. This has a decent blade and locking mechanism, but I can't get over how uncomfortable the handle is. It's very rough along all edges of the griv-ex handle and the spine of the kick release. Could have used a little more grinding to finish it off. For the price I paid I was expecting a bit better quality, but I like it enough to keep it and fix the issues myself

A high quality EDC knife
I'd been wanting one of these Cold Steel Counter Point 1 knives for a while, and wasn't disappointed. It's a new (post Lynn Thompson) manufacture (you can tell by the new logo), AUS 10 steel - Made in Taiwan. The fit and finish is as good as blades that cost 4 X as much. The action with the Tri-Ad lock is a little stiff and tight at first, but does get easier with repeated opening and closing. For someone who doesn't have strong fingers/hands I'd recommend caution. The blade is quite sharp out of the box, and shaves hair. It could use a little time on the leather strop. I'm very pleased with it, and could definitely recommend it for EDC utility and/or last ditch defense.

The perfect EDC (Every Day carry)
I have several cold steel knives. Most with the exception of the Code 4 and this knife are pocket shredders. I have large hands and it fits quite well. Also the pocket clip has just the right amount of tension. Most Cold Steel Knives the clips are too tight. This knife hits it out of the park. If you want a knife in case of evil ninja attack. I highly recommend this one. For utility work I use a workpro utility knife (in the small pocket above the cold steel knife). Yes I carry two knives one for actual use and the other as pocket jewelry😂!!!!
