While I LOVED the idea of clear square cubes, I wish that love had transferred to this machine. The cubes come out cloudy and wet, not solid and clear. When they drop into the bin, they often cause it to open just a little so as the ice melts, it runs all over your counter. The "paint" that they use on the part that freezes the cubes flakes off and gets frozen into the cubes, which you will ingest if you are not careful. After 1 year, the sensor that tells the machine that the bin is low or full went out, causing the machine to be pretty much useless unless you stand there and restart it after each batch of cubes. Overall look of machine is great - got many compliments. However, it fails in all aspects regarding functionality.

Original product arrived with defective compressor or component required to start compressor. Product returned and replacement arrived quickly. Unit operates as described. Creates large slabs of ice with squares of cubes. The ice tray used to hold the ice is poorly designed. The tray is small compared to the large slabs of ice. This design flaw results in ice slabs jamming the back end of the tray and preventing the tray from opening. The slab must be broken by yanking the tray open, or forcing the ice slab back into the water located behind the tray. If the ice slab remains stuck in the back of the tray, the waterfall from the next ice slab is interrupted, often causing water to splash and run onto the counter surface. The tray itself must be completely removed from the unit to retrieve ice. This is due to the tray not having a tab in the rear to ensure tray stability while retrieving ice. Again, removing the tray each time causes water within the tray to fall on the floor or counter surface. Bottom line. I just want to get some ice for my drink, I don't want to fight with the tray and water spills.

So I'll say this. I've never bought an ice maker before and I want to give it an honest review. I bought it for my wife for mother's day this year because she gets up in the morning early, works out, and before she heads to work she makes a few healthy drinks and a big jug of water and she loves her ice. I guess the only real set back I think is that the ice does stick together in clumps, and as the next cycle starts it drips water on what's in the bin for a few minutes so the ice is always wet and drippy. I've saw other ice makers that looked like it came out dry but I did research and this company seemed pretty serious and seemed like the customer was really kept in mind and they wanted good reviews. So I'm going to see how it goes for awhile and maybe it has a break in cycle we need to get through. For $200 I expect that they will honor a return if we are not happy. More to follow!!

I use this machine in a busy B&B. This machine makes nice ice. BUT, it does not have a sensor to start making ice again when the holding tray is empty, so you constantly have to keep pushing the star button, which is very inconvenient. It leaks terribly, as the ice melts, the water runs out from under the tray. Ruined an antique table. When the ice falls, it is extremely loud. As the holding tray fills, additional ice pushes the tray out, causing more leakage. Save your money!

It is a cool concept of having clear ice but it's not perfect I had to return it because it didn't live up to what I expected. First, it does take longer than what is mention in the description. Second, the clear cubes are really small and not quite a cube, and last the main reason I returned it is because the compartment where the ice falls ​is not refrigerated/cold meaning the finished ice is melting while sitting there.

Flavor was good, but it leaked. Was also tough to get the ice out and made too much ice...meaning, we had to remove the ice constantly. Once ice melts, maker did not restart itself. We returned it.

I really like the square long-lasting cubes. Although when the machine goes to release the cubes it's very noisy. there's also the matter of you can't just shut off the machine without it making a noise you have to unplug it .

Complete waste of money. This unit took so long to make one making of ice. Then when it dumped in the holding bucket it was so loud the dogs were terrified! The ice is clear, that is a plus but they are so wet that when you put them in the freezer to hold them they form a huge block of ice. We returned this unit and got a refund. Terribly disappointed.
