A book every dog/cat owner should keep on hand and what I found worked for a dog suffering from severe Atopic Dermatitis
I purchased this book "Natural Health Bible for Dogs & Cats" and it has a lot of great detailed information and suggestions to help dogs & cats suffering from a great number of conditions, including chronic inflammatory bowl disease, atopic dermatitis etc. - and the author suggests a lot of natural remedies.I love dogs/animals and would like to share this information to help others who have dogs suffering from severe allergy - skin/fur disorders and/or Atopic Dermatitis (we have been adopting dogs for the last 18 years). I am not a veterinarian and I was not paid to write this, I am simply sharing this information in hope to help dogs with allergy issues. The first step of course is seeing a veterinarian to diagnose the problem.I am writing this post because I want to help other dogs suffering from atopic dermatitis or similar conditions.... in Dec. 2017 I groomed a dog "Deacon" who has Atopic Dermatitis - he was so miserable, depressed and had red dry patches, flaky itchy skin and bald patches all over his body.... it broke my heart...So I did some reason about natural products to help this poor dog and ran across "Zesty Paws Allergy Immune bites" and "Zesty Paws Virgin Coconut Oil" and "Zesty Paws Omega Krill bites" on smile.Amazon.com - I purchased one jar each and gave it to the owner and told him to give it to Deacon as recommended on a regular basis... the owner told me that Deacon is on prescription medication.... but obviously, it was not helping much by the way poor Deacon looked and felt.It was about two month later when I received the following email responses from Deacon's owner, which made me happy and since I want to help as many other dogs suffering from Atopic Dermatitis or similar conditions, I want to recommend the above mentioned products for other dogs because they are working for Deacon who has been diagnosed with Atopic Dermatitis (I was not paid by the manufacturer and did not receive any benefits for writing this).Reading the owner responses as to the results and effectiveness of the products I purchased for this dog, I just want to pass this information along to help other suffering dogs:Another email from Deacon's owner:"We've been feeding him the treats and the coconut supplement for a couple of weeks now. He seems to be feeling fine. He doesn't seem depressed and only occasionally acts like his skin is bothering him. I'll keep you posted as we continue what we are doing. Kent -Another email said:"Hi Carola, I wanted to let you know Deacon is continuing to improve. I didn't take any before pics, but I've attached 3 pics that I took recently. One pic is a close up of his skin, the focus is not great, but you can tell his skin is much more of a natural color and texture, it no longer looks red and irritated. You can also see how nice his coat looks compared to when you groomed him. Thank you for all you've done and we'll keep working on him! Kent -Another email from Deacon's owner:"We've been feeding him the treats and the coconut supplement for a couple of weeks now. He seems to be feeling fine. He doesn't seem depressed and only occasionally acts like his skin is bothering him. I'll keep you posted as we continue what we are doing. Sincerely, Kent -And in another email he told me:"let me tell you how it's worked. I have been adding the coconut paste to this food and giving him the omega 3 treats on a regular basis. My wife Susan, gave him a bath last weekend with the coconut oil. Since we've started using the coconut products and the omega 3 treats, I've seen an amazing turn around with his dry skin. He doesn't scratch near as much, almost none at all now, and his fur is looking much nicer. I'm going to continue use of the things you've sent because they seem to be working really well. We appreciate (and Deacon too) everything you do and will continue to try whatever you send; so far it has been working very well. Sincerely, Kent -All I can hope for is that those products will also help other suffering dogs!

THE BEST I've SEEN
I am a certified alternative healthcare consultant in NY and for PEOPLE I know alot, but dogs , especially my beloved Elmo, are quite different. While we use a holistic vet and Dr. Dym was here and gave free consults. I wanted and needed MORE so I personally was well informed and was doing the BEST I could to give all of my pets the longest , healthiest lives .I think most all of us know the basics of GOOD quality food, exercise, emotional closeness, etc.(real Age .com gives you a questionarre and advice on your dogs real age and where and what to improve upon)So this book gives you a multitude of preventive and curative advice in one easy to read and to use book that is quite accurate.I am glad to have it . AND a MAJOR point is that this is not a fear inducing book i.e. your dog will die from generic dogfoods, cancer is rampant etc(We own a grooming shop and these dogs even on awful generic food are doing quite well and many are pretty old) I do agree premium dog food is best BUT that is not the ONLY factor in good health, and this book stays on an even keel not going off the wall in either direction.Very useful.

Excellent Reference!
I am an herbalist by trade but as many of you may know, herbs work differently on dogs and cats then they do on humans. You cannot apply the same treatments and dosages to animals. This book is helpful in 2 ways. First it contains a list of several ailments at the start with proposed treatments - but that section is so so. If you are looking for in-depth discussion of each ailment, this is not it. This book covers each ailment briefly, along with suggested therapies and their success rates/effects on the animal but it doesn't really explain the ailment that much since it covers so many of them. The best part of this book is part 2 where it covers many different herbs and supplements and the effects it has on animals and the proper dosages.I would venture to say that this book is not for beginners. If you do not know much about Herbalism or herbs and supplements in general, this book will seem bad to you. It does not go into the detail about what each herb or supplement does - it assumes you already know that. There are plenty of books out there that cover that as well and it would be pointless for this book to cover it too. This book takes that knowledge and bridges it to the animal world. If you already have a knowledge of Herbalism, this book will tell you what you need to know about how it applies to animals. I have 7 dogs at home, and everyday there is some scrape or allergy or weird thing happening and this book never leaves my side. It has saved me hundreds on vet bills since I normally stock a lot of herbs at home anyway. One thing - this book has a lot of great info for treatments of all types, but it is not a substitute for emergency care. If your animal has seriously injured itself and is bleeding etc - take him to the emergency room!

Excellent to have on hand
We have several copies of this book. It's a great go to book for some extra information how to treat pets more naturally. Some diseases can be tricky to manage so having this guide is an amazing help at finding alternative therapies. Couldn't do without it.

Excellent reference for Dogs and Cats
I can recommend this book to anyone that wants to improve the health of their dog or cat. I have a special needs dog and I needed information on the proper supplements and food to feed him. This book is an EXCELLENT source for that information and so much more. It provided me with one source for information and helped me make decisions on supplements and food I should use.The title says it all. It really is the "Natural Health Bible" for dog and cat care. When I need more information, this is the first book I refer to. Every page is well written and complete. Each topic is easy to understand and easy to follow. If you are looking for a natural approach for your pets healthcare, you should add this book to your library. Youll be happy you did.
