Nice and easy to install
Works perfectly with my oriental style piano, connecting it to my laptop after an installation it works perfectly. The only negative thing that I take against it is that it blinks all the time which was bothering me in the beginning, but also that I got used to it.. also there is no indication for which plug needs to be connected to which port in the piano if there were any instructions for that they would’ve been perfect because each time I had to switch them to get them work

Worked fine with no problems
I am glad I bought this less expensive MIDI adapter, instead of one that costs 3x more. I used it between my 23 year old RadioShack MD-1121 keyboard (a re-badged Casio CTK-671) and a Windows 11 laptop. Followed the instructions (in the Amazon product description) and it worked fine. I am using it with Synthesia and PianoBooster software. The MIDI interface is a digital signal, so spending more is not going to get you better sound quality. I am satisfied with the build quality also.

Simple, budget-friendly MIDI connection
This cable is a straightforward solution for connecting MIDI gear to a computer. It's plug-and-play, requiring no drivers, and works well with standard MIDI setups. The LED indicators are helpful for confirming signal flow. However, it's important to note that compatibility can vary depending on the specific keyboard or software configuration. In my case, it didn't work with my mini keyboard, but I suspect the issue lies with the keyboard itself. Overall, it's a cost-effective option for basic MIDI connections, but ensure your equipment is compatible before purchasing.

Useful!
Great in a pinch, if you don't have a full midi interface. You can't do deep sysex stuff or other deeper midi functions, but for just plugging in and playing? Perfect.

Didn't work...twice
This review is for the TENINYU USB to MIDI Cable Converter 2 in 1 PC to Synthesizer Music Studio Keyboard Interface Wire Plug Controller Adapter Cord (ASIN: B07L8KFYBK). I have now tried two and neither one worked. I connected the first one to the 'brain' for an electronic drum kit. The computer did recognize the interface and the power light came on but neither one of the data lights showed activity. I tried reversing the MIDI connectors and it still wouldn't pass data. Just to be sure the 'brain' was actually sending data I connected it to a different MIDI interface that I know works and sure enough, it wasn't the brain. I returned the first one and received a replacement a couple of days later (kudos to Amazon for the fast turn around). Same test, same results. I tried the interface on the drum 'brain' as well as two other keyboards that I use MIDI with extensively and are known to work properly in a MIDI environment and still no go. For geeks: This device is recognized by Win10 and shows up properly in Device Manager. It uses a generic driver and there is no other driver available on the TENINYU website. It is also recognized by Reaper (the DAW I use) but even after properly configuring the interface for use in Reaper, selecting the device as MIDI input for a track and readying the track for recording no data is being received. I am mainly interested in getting the MIDI info from a drum brain into Reaper, not playing back MIDI info to the brain. Once the MIDI info from the drum kit is recorded I will be playing it back and sending it to other synths, both hardware and software based. Because of this, I didn't really test the ability to send MIDI info through this interface from the computer to the drum 'brain'. I used usbdeview to see the USB connection information and also to remove instances of the interface before trying some other troubleshooting thing. There were also numerous reboots. I also tried a couple of different computers, just in case that had something to do with the failure to communicate. Finally, I don't think this is user error. While MIDI isn't particularly friendly, I've been working with it since the early '80s and understand its idiosyncrasies well. In the end, I spent as much time as I could on this and can't waste anymore, so they both are being returned and I'll have to find a better, working solution.

PASS!
Would not consistently work with Cakewalk or Waveform 13. Bought another one for a few bucks more and that one worked fine. Construction is a bit sketchy and very cheap feeling. Would have been ok if it actually worked for me.

I use this cable to send MIDI instructions from DAW software installed on my PC to Digitech Whammy 4 pedal and it seems to work very good. Need to connect cable MIDI OUT into Whammy MIDI IN. No PC drivers required. Studio One software recognized it immediately. Cable quality is acceptable. Hopefully it will last for long.
