Kitty Herbs are a hit!
My 2 indoor cats love this these herbs and ask for it. Every week to 10 days I start a new batch. I start them in a 4 inch pot. It takes 4-7 days to get tall enough for my cats to decimate it in a 2 to 3 days (more sun light, the faster it grows). Once the cats get to it, it does not grow much because it gets eaten too fast. It helps my cats get rid of hair balls by passing them or throwing them up (sorry people but an indoor cat needs this to help their digestive system). I think my cats also probably get omega 3 out of it and other vitamins. If I wait a bit too long to grow some, they ask for it by going to the grass growing area (a spot away from their reach while growing) and meow loudly. They want it "now", but as most of us must wait for it to grow. You could purchase a kit but I prefer this, since I use a potting soil and these herbs for a better price. I use a 4 inch pot with drainage holes, potting soil (water thoroughly till it runs down the holes), add about a tablespoon of Kitty herb seeds spread over the soil, and top it with ¼ inch of potting soil (water again, gently). Set it in a sunny spot in my house. Water if it gets dry. You will have grass in a few days. I wait till the grass is at least 6 inches, otherwise it would be eaten too fast. They love it young and fresh. Throw away after it gets dry and yellow. Then start a new one.

I guess it does the job
I bought this for my cat's addiction. It took longer than expected to grow. I followed the directions and all. I was expecting it to grow in thick but it didn't. It's really patchy even though I evenly covered the whole area of the pot. My cat doesn't have any complaints though, so I guess that matters the most is that he loves it. Begs for it everyday but I don't let him eat on it everyday so that it can continue to grow.

Very easy to grow, cats love it--treat your cat
My cats are grass addicts and they love this stuff. For a long time I was bringing in tall wild grass from the edges of my garden for the cats to munch and the cats would practically mall me to get at it. They *knew* when I was coming in with a handful and they'd wait by the door. I have no idea what is in wild grass that make them so crazy (they nearly seem to hallucinated from it) but the trouble is they gulp it so fast they choke. As an alternative, for years I've been growing them these Kitty Herbs and while the cats are as nuts for this stuff as the are for the grass from my yard, they love it. I keep a couple of pots of it growing on my screened porch and each morning when I let them out to the porch, they literally run to the pots of Kitty Herbs. There's more in this packet than you might think, too. You can grow a few dozen 5-6" pots from one packet, easily.Your cats will love it and it's good for their digestion--particularly for indoor cats who don't get to eat wild grasses (which is a natural part of cats' diets).

It works great - then you clean up for another grow
Works great, it grows fast but also lives only for a short time and then you are left with dead grass and needing to remove that. You can't just add more and expect the old grass to be compost. My cats barely used it but I haven't been growing it for long so maybe they need to get used to is.

Grows fast and easily
Grew quickly and really easily, my cat only nibbles at it a little, but I'm amazed at how fast and thick it came up. I planted this, along with another bag of a different kind of seed from my local pet store, in a big litterbox tray so my cat could both munch on them and lay on it if she wanted to. I'm terrible at growing anything from seed and keeping plants alive, but for this particular planting it couldn't have been easier. Put soil in container, scatter seeds on top, put a little more soil on top (a VERY thin layer, I put on way too much at first :D), give it a good watering, and wait.I know people say "watching the grass grow" as something terribly boring, but I find it kind of delightful to see how much more this grass seems to have grown every time I walk by it. :D

~ Easy to Grow ~
Kitty Herbs are easy to Grow, I used a Good Potting Soil and Two Deep Pots and in just about a week I could see some of the grass Picking through the Soil, the Herbs mature very fast and it looks very Nice and Green. My 14 year old Cat started to lick on the grass and do some chewing as soonest the Grass was Tall Enough. The Two Five Month Kittens were not that interested, after all they are very young, although they like to Play and Sniff the Grass...just a matter of time before they chew on it. Kitty Herbs are full of Nutrients all supposed to be Good for Cats, a Good source of Fiber, Niacin and B Vitamins. Kitty Herbs are helpful to Aid with Fur Balls and Digestion, specially if you have a Long Hair Cat as my Older One. Kitty Herbs does Not Contain Catnip and are Careful Selected from a Mixture of Grass Varieties, Barley, Oats, Wheat and other Crop Seed! ...Thank You D.D.

A better buy than purchasing prepackaged cat grass at pet stores
I've lost track of how many pots of grass I've grown for my cats since I bought just one bag of these seeds and I still have enough seed left for several pots more. I haven't had any problems getting these to grow but the key is not to overwater the seed or the grass once it is growing. In the warm weather the seed came up much faster, usually in just 4 days, but now that it is winter it takes a week for the seed to sprout. Initially only one of my five cats was interested in eating this cat grass, but now at least four of them eat it, though unfortunately two of them seem to use it to make themselves vomit! My brown tabby loves this stuff and eats it like salad to accompany every meal; luckily she is not one of the "purgers" LOL.

Our Cat loves this grass
Have you ever seen kits feeding animals at a petting zoo? Well, thats what it looks like when our 21 month old picks some of the grass we grew and hand feeds it to our happy loving cat. We bought this a birthday gift for our 6 year old maine coon, and after he patiently waited for it to grow (it only took a couple days to sprout and get long enough to give him), our little boy gets to hand feed him this special treat. I even tasted it to see, and it is sweet candy like grass. Needles to say, our cat who does NOT like table food, or eating treats from our hands, runs to, and gladly eats this grass from our hands. Great bonding experience for our toddler and teenage kitty. I have now planted more, so that we never run out.
