I read some of the other reviews before buying and there were several not-so-good ones, which made me hesitate about buying this one. HOWEVER, I decided to go ahead and order it. Oh, were they wrong! It works well, is easy to play, is well constructed, with smooth finishing and easy to hold. It's just a barrel of fun! I can't get all the whistles and stuff that the professionals get, but, with practice, I will be able to do a lot of things with it! I can play tunes, bird whistles, owl hoots and lots of other strange sounds! It's definitely worth the money!

Beautiful piece of rosewood! But it does not work!! Hoping the seller will see this and send me one that works, or a refund. I have been using the plastic ones for years, and they are a lot of fun. This one is non functional. The reed is glued tight to the mouthpiece. Fail!

So cool! Got it for my husband as a stocking stuffer and he loved it. He also loved that he doesn’t have to share it with anyone else.

Better tone than the plastic ones.

It is a lovely wooden item and the little honks and toots, if you can make any, have a breathy, woody sound. If you are satisfied with that, just a pretty novelty item, then this is OK...it looks good on a shelf. If you want a nose flute to play musically and have fun with this is not the one for you. The Bocarina is vastly superior in terms of playability.

This product is far from the ideal nose flute. It looks very nice and is well built. The problem is with its design. To play one must blow through hole drilled in 'body' of the instrument. This is very difficult since the small hole is not angled properly to blow into. It is next to impossible to produce a good airflow. Unless you want a flute that has a small range of quiet, breathy notes do not get this flute. There are other nose flutes for the same price that are far better. After purchasing this nose flute I ordered a Bocarina plastic nose flute. The Bocarina has a far better fit to my nose and mouth. I was surprised at the difference in tone quality and strength. Please avoid this flute and buy a far superior one for the same price.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Very well made. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t get a sound out of it from the beginning. It is an instrument and requires some practice. Make sure you press it firmly enough against your nose to not leak too much air. Blow through the nose while pressing it against your mouth at the same time. Use your open mouth to alter the pitch. So much fun. I just bought 2 more to give away to my friends :)

当たり前の話ですが、本体が木製で立体的なつくりをしているので、プラ製の薄い安物よりも握りやすい形をしています。 側面も指を添えやすいようにやや凹んでいるのもポイント。 肝心の演奏感ですが、本体の厚みのおかげか音に丸い響きとまとまりがあり、高い音から低い音まできれいに出すことができました。 これが安物プラだと掠れるような「ｽｰｰ」という音が抜けてくるのですが、この価格帯のものであればそれもありません。 ノイズに悩まされることなく演奏に集中できます。 また、例えばオカリナなどもそうですが、「初めてやるから」「初心者だから」と明らかな安物を買ってハズレ個体をつかまされるくらいなら、最初から標準相場のそれなりに良い物を買って、一発でアタリ個体に出会った方が、結果的にお財布にも優しい結果になると思います。 「値段が高い」イコール「演奏に技術が必要な楽器」ではありません✖️ 「つくりがしっかりしていて音が良い」です⭕️ こういうところはケチらない方が良いと個人的には考えます。
