Great looking Project. Buy a smaller brush and magnifier.
This was my second pbn project, so I am a beginner. That said, I am almost done after about 40 hours of work. Some thoughts, that seem to be repeated by others (should have read the reviews first!). You will need a magnifying glass and smaller brushes. About half of the surface area of this project is too small to paint with the brush provided. The paiting when complete will probably look darker than what is displayed, probably due to the fact that the image on a computer screen tends to look more vibrant. The sky still shows up vibrant and bright but the cars and people appear murkier. The lighter colored paints will not cover in one cost, so be prepared to spend time going over these areas if you do not want the numbers to show. Some of the details will most likely not show in the finished work unless you add them later. This may be due to mistakes I made or their ommission from the pattern (for example the brushes in the artist rear pocket did not show up in my work). For this reason, it is important to refer to the picture on the box, or even from this site, as you work on the painting, since much of the detail cannot be seen by looking at the outline on the board. Unfortunaely, the vendor covered some of the key areas with text on the box, so some areas are hidden from view. If you are like me, you will probably finish about half the surface area in a few sittings and think you are half way home...then you will hit the smaller and smaller detail, and realize that the work has just begun, so be patient! That said, I think the finished product (or in my case the almost finished product) looks very good, if I do say so myself!

Some coloring on box different than paint
A little disappointed the painting color doesn't show on the box. Like the tone on the box is blue, cream, in lower sky and it's actually pink. #6 pot and #7 pot are so close to being identical seems like a mistake. The sky is still pretty just wasn't expecting pink hues. The brushes I'm using are:Flat 4 & 6, round 1 (one in kit), 0, 00, 000, & 0000!!Keep the brush clean as I go and works good. Along with a drop of water to thin the paint - it gets thick as the lid stays open during painting.Yes, the white takes oodles of layers of paint to cover the numbers - fortunately there isn't a lot of white. Many other colors need two layers if working with thinner paint (from putting drop water in) - and to look more consistently colored, but the paint dries so quickly I just do the second layer right away, so it's like painting. No big deal. Last two photos: show if you only use 2 or so coats of thinner paint (bottom left corner of painting) and last shows thicker 3 or so coats of paint (so much nicer) - I really should go over the bottom left again!Lids to paint pots are very tight on this set. Great cuz the paints came in wonderful new condition, but my thumb has gotten a hard skin spot from opening the lids.Tiny stuff. I have multifocal glasses and can see the numbers fine though. One of the prettier paintings I've done.

Very Beautiful, Very Detailed
WOW! It's really all I can say, although I'll do my best to elaborate. This painting is absolutely gorgeous when complete. The represented picture is quite accurate to what your finished piece will look like (see the attached photo of mine). All of the paints are ready for use, no mixings of colors required. The paining came on a board rather than a folded piece of canvas so there are no creases. I will say, this is a VERY detailed painting that takes a lot of time and focus. If you are looking for something simple to pass time, this is not the painting for you. It took me a few months to complete this painting. The finished piece is well worth all of the time and effort you put into it. It's very satisfying. One suggestion I would make is that I would recommend purchasing a smaller paint brush. 95% of this paining is very small areas and having a small enough paint brush to work with will prevent a lot of frustration and errors in your work.I highly recommend this to someone looking for a challenge and a beautiful finished piece. For beginners, I suggest something a little less detailed until you're more comfortable with paint by numbers.Update: I loved the first one so much, I decided to do another one. They both look lovely!

Hometown Pride Completed!
This took me about 150 hours to complete. It turned out great!. I would have given it 5 stars but there are two errors that require some modification to look like the original. The color 28 for the front shaded spots on the side of the bushes near the walk is two dark. I don't know whether it's a bad mix at the factory or if the print has the wrong number. Either way that color comes out slate almost black and can't be seen against the adjoining color which IS black. It should be lighter and greener to match Kincaid. This also applies to color 25 for the shaded part of the grass. Instead of looking like lawn in the shade (green) it is brown and looks like a path. I mixed a color from the existing colors to get a dark natural green for the turf.in the shade and also mixed an intermediate green/gray (close to olive but darker) for the front of the bushes in the shade. The whole project was fun and does look great even though there is something wrong with the colors mentioned. Definitely not a beginner project and it does require some smaller brushes than the one provided and a magnifying glass.
