Collar chewing problem solved. My vizsla can finally wear ...
Collar chewing problem solved. My vizsla can finally wear a collar without her sister chewing it to pieces!!! Yay! I bought it approximately 2in bigger than her size and took the choke chain out and clamped the hook back on the collar (As showed in the picture). It was very easy. It slips over her head and rest comfortably on her neck. She's very active and it can't fall off once on (can't slip over her ears without help from me to remove). Best collar I've gotten her and looks so nice on.

I have 2 dogs who love to play with each other
I have 2 dogs who love to play with each other. One dog CONSTANTLY pulls on/chews through the other dogs collar. I was buying 2-3 nylon collars every week! I decided to make a wise financial decision and go with a metal collar instead. I had to remove a few links to get the size right, but it looks very pretty and cannot be eaten, so we're good.

Looks like jewelry, but is heavy duty.
This works great. Our other dog kept chewing off her buddy's collar. She cant' do that to this one!Update: It's been almost a year and the collar still looks brand new. This has been the only collar to survive our little terror. She doesn't wear it, but she sure chews on her yard mate's collars. Our Boykin spaniel wears a size small. His collar is intact after almost a year of daily/24/7 wear and plenty of rough and tumble play with our smaller (terror) Catahoula mix. She was previously chewing through his fabric collars in a matter of hours. Best collar ever for our issues.

Broke the first day when I needed it most
This collar, I must admit, is very attractive, and it fit my American Bulldog/Boxer mix perfectly. After reading review that it is strong, I felt confident. Well, I put it on her, and not two hours later, a dog attacked her (she was playing rough with my other dog, and that was the trigger). I grabbed her by this collar, and it broke! She wasn't pulling strongly either. I am very upset and disappointed. There I was, having fallen backward in the snow, and my dog being attacked by another dog, and not even a collar on her! When we got them separated, I had to lead her by the scruff of the neck all the way to my house (about 100 feet). This collar could cost a dog its life!UPDATE; The seller never even contacted me about this collar. I guess they don't stand behind their products! Another thing--it stained the white hair around my dog's neck BLACK, and its almost impossible to get off. Deeply disappointed. My dog is still recovering from her injuries from the attack. I had to clean and flush her wounds twice a day for ten days, and I'm sure she will have scars. All thanks to this inferior collar!

Attractive But I Won't Ever 100% Trust
I bought this for my pit bull, Vanessa. My jack russell mix kept pulling off her cloth collars and then they both would chew them up. I knew it was a matter of time before that was going to put one or both of them in the vet's office, or worse. So I bought this to deter him until maybe we can wean her back onto cloth.I measured her neck and thus purchased her the 18"-20" version but it was still much, much too big for her so I ended up removing several links from it when it arrived. It just took some pliers (I honestly just used crafting ones, though it would have been much easier if I had gotten my better ones out) so it wasn't that big of a deal. Better to be too big than too small. She looks nice in it. I like cloth better of course, but it doesn't seem to pinch and she has not cared a single solitary bit. My husband got concerned once that it got too hot outside (we live at high altitude in south western state) but, it's not like her old collar didn't have metal on it and she's 99% an inside dog. So i'm not concerned about that. Lol. Our other dog hasn't messed with it at all.My one actual concern is that I know metal link and I know this doesn't offer the protection the cloth ones did. You'd think metal link would be stronger but . . . she's a pit bull and a fearful one at that. She pulls and HARD when she's scared. I don't trust this one to hold so I will just treat it as if it won't. Better safe than sorry. I'd never attach her leash to it, even for a second. But then again, I never did to her cloth ones either. I'm just talking about hand restraining in an emergency.I hope to put a cloth one under this soon to help train my little demon dog.

Stainless steel dog collar
I purchased this to replace multiple collars for my husky. He bites through all. First the pros, he hasn't been able to bite through it, he's tried many times. It hasn't rusted, bent or broke. The cons, twice we had to remove it from his mouth. He got it caught behind his neck and his jaw, making it very, very difficult removing. The second time it was caught in his mouth and teeth. It is very easy to come loose and my husky has slipped out from the collar. Overall it is a well made collar, some improvement needed with the safety aspect.

Day 5...
I bought this last week thinking it was the solution to her collar chewing. Well, she doesn't chew it! She did, however, break the collar the first time we hooked her to a line (so we could garden in peace). We only got it 5 days ago, so I'm a little disappointed! It seems so heavy duty, and my 50lb dog broke the chain links! The collar section itself is still intact, to be fair, but I'll either have to replace it or find something stronger than what they used to link the ends together.

Exactly what I needed
I have two young beagles who were constantly chewing each other's collars. The only all-metal collars I could find locally were choker collars, which can be dangerous if they get caught on something. These metal martingale-type collars are a great solution. I prefer martingale collars for comfort and safety, so the fact that they've been on a week and are still intact makes them absolutely perfect!
