Great way to fit a mic and a light to your smooth 4 without hindering performance
Got it so I could mount my light and rode microphone onto the gimbal and still use the tripod on the base. Very easy to fit and remove and completely unobtrusive once mounted. Just make sure you get it the right way up though! If it’s upside down then it’ll get in the way of the gimbal moving.

A must have if you use a gimbal
Here is a device that makes vlogging so much easier when using a gimbal with a go pro or smartphone. With 2 cold shoe mounts its perfect for attaching a Rode mic and a light source without any detriment to the balance of the gimbal. It also serves as an extra grip when 2 handed is better than 1. In my case, I have been able to ditch the lavalier mics ( which never did suppress wind noise enough when outdoor shooting ) and attach a Rode with the "dead hamster" cover. Now the audio is so much better. This also comes with a very small, but useful tripod which screws right into the mounting screw - a fine sturdy design.NB I am not affiliated with Amazon or the manufacturer - I am just a photographer always on the lookout for useful, inexpensive kit additions

certainly is a tripod,works for smooth q gimbal
for my smooth q gimbal, this works really well, great leg splay ,gives a good steady base extends the length by a couple of good inches ,I just use the tripod, as for the handle never used it except getting out of its packaging ,

Good quality extension cable from mic to phone.
I bought this to use a classic jack socket microphone to a mobile phone. 3 pin to a 4 pin jack. Works well.
