Would this work for my Sun conures?

We have both green cheek conures and Indian Ringnecks and they all use this and like them. We have put them in the cage, on the outside of the cage and on playstands. Multi purpose foraging toy for sure!

What are the materials of the toy? i see that the tube is pvc clearly, but what type of metal is the chain, the c link and the circular metal piece?

Just normal steel chain link material like you would find in a hardware store.

what size is the metal hook?

The hook is ths standard heavy duty model that has a screw joiner on the hook. Did not measure it but I would guess about two inches in length. This is a very sturdy item. My Meyers Parrot prefers to play and swing on it. He has no interest in forging from it perhaps because he always has food in his cage so his attitude is why bother. Nice toy though.
