ARES ETHOS QX130 ULTRA MICRO READY TO FLY RC QUADCOPTER

I probably classify myself as a beginner RC enthusiast. I have several RTF RC planes and have used several beginner <$60 RC helicopters. I have always been disappointed with the controllability of the copters. This is my first quad and I absolutely love it!Out of the box, the copter takes off and hovers almost perfectly in place. The control and maneuverability of this quad are amazing. On a calm night, you can fly this around the yard and down the street with very little fear of hitting anything. The LEDs give you great orientation so you know if it's coming or going (and they look very cool). Don't like the LED lights? Turn them off/on with a button on the remote.The included battery lasts about 12 minutes of constant flying. The included battery charger has an LED that starts off red and turns green when the battery is fully charged. After using this for a day I have ordered a second battery and will probably get a 3rd.The remote is great with an LCD screen built in and lots of buttons to control the different add-on products. Also comes with a button that toggles the power between 60 and 100% to help you learn to fly. Range is great. I have had it 2 blocks away and still had full control. Not sure how far it can go since I haven't it had it far enough away to test it. There's also a button that puts the quad in "auto flip mode" where you can make the copter do flips in the air. (this is also very safe, just make sure you have altitude) There are lots of add on modules (missle launcher, HD camera, bubble blower and winch with basket) that are fairly cheap.I think beginner to mid-level RC flyers would really dig this thing and for $100, I would recommend this to anyone looking to get a "better than standard toy store" copter.**Update**Have used this for 6 weeks and still love it. This thing is tough! The worst crash I had was flying on too windy of a night and landing hard on the roof of my house. This resulted in a broken LED and, while it still flew fine, the missing light really bugged me so I bought a replacement arm and swapped it out.Best RC purchase yet.

This is the best quad copter in its class, extremely stable and the lights really help during a night flight the only other thing close to it would be Traxas but the motors are known to burn out very quickly. I have 20 flights on the QX 130 and one crash into a wall, it has sustained no damage seems to be very durable.

This is a great quadcopter. Couldn't believe the quality and amazing flight for the price of $99.00. Would buy another one in a flash, when the current one wears out. Also has a really great transmitter.

 I bought 3 of these for Christmas gifts and they are pretty darn good. 1 is OOC, it crashed and the plug detached from the motherboard(a simple soldering will fix it) so the propeller doesn't get power. Buy about 3 batteries for more flight time, I get about 10 minutes from one charge I found a 4-Pack of Lectron Pro 3.7 volt on Amazon and also purchased a multiport charger.I have flown all three at the same time but I think that's the limit for simultaneous flights. You do need an open space of you're new to flying quads but the controls are very easy to get used to. They are great amature quads for the money.

Copter arrived this afternoon and i was very excited to test it out. But controller was DOA. Just makes a high pitched alarm tone. Contacted HobbyTown and they sent me a new controller right away. All's good now. This is a great flying copter!

An excellent, fully featured beginner (for teens and adults) quad copter. The controls are responsive, and have an excellent feel.I'd recommend ordering a second battery (quite inexpensive) when getting this copter, as the flying time is around 10-15 min.

I didn't expect a quadcopter of this price to fly as well as it did. Very stable flight, and easy to fly for beginners (start off using 60% mode for easiest flight). Battery life is above average. I get an average of 11 minutes per charge, but I ordered 2 extra batteries 'cuz they cheap :)

This thing is pretty cool. Took it with me on vacation and got some cool videos. Flies well even in a breeze. Wish it had a little more power, but for the price it's a great deal. I would recommend it to friend looking in this price point. Very stable, yet also agile in 100% rates. There is one thing I really don't like about it- the right stick on the transmitter, I have to move it in any direction 30% before it does anything. Overall though 5 stars worth it.
