LOVE! I couldn’t be more pleased with this purchase!! It is SOLID! There is no wobble or anything that would suggest that this is cheaply made! There is a strong smell, probably the paint or sealing material?! I’m sure it will go away. This sits at the base of my California King bed and I love the size. It’s deep enough to fit our sweaters and other seasonal clothes. The hinges are sturdy and strong. This piece would definitely hold the weight of an adult without thinking that its going to break. I would highly recommend this piece.

Such a beautiful piece and such a shame to come looking used. This piece came with no hinges and holes in the lid. Not worth the price! And a huge hassle to return

It was more than I wanted to spend, but I’m glad I did! This piece is amazing!!! Whoever made this put in tons of time, love, and effort. Very sturdy and tons of space for pillows and blankets

For scale the bed shown behind the trunk is queen size. It looks great, I had to repair it when it arrived because one of the hinges had popped out during shipping. It was easy to fix so I decided to keep it. It's hard to find a trunk this large for this cheap... quality isn't great but it looks good

Chest arrived broken. We were able to pound the bent hinge back in place but we shouldn't have to fix broken items when received. I will probably never store anything inside the chest bc it kinda smells. I wiped it out but just doesn't look that clean. i probably should have sent it back but what a hassle to re-box.

Ordered one, came broken at the hinge and was not repairable. Replacement came, broken at the same hinge, returned for refund. I would have loved to have this piece, it was a great size and design, but for the price I didn't want to risk getting another broken piece.

We like the look of the chest and the lid that stays open when you are putting blankets, etc., inside. However, it took five days sitting outdoors in the sunshine & ocean breeze to get the off-gassing smell of whatever lacquer coating they put on to dissipate. Now that it is at the foot of our bed, it is getting frayed by our cats loving to pull at the covering. They think it's big scratching toy. One of the cords has actually come unglued from the wooden bench from their pulling on it and we'll have to glue it back down. If you don't have cats, it's attractive and useful once the smell is gone.

Just buy it. Is is beautiful and I'm using it as a TV stand and storage.
