Nice Gi, although sizing is off and clownish looking.
Was looking for a lightweight Gi and at 275gsm these guys were tied with the Hyperfly Starlyte at 275 gsm and close to the War Tribe Darkwater at 300gsm. I ordered all 3 and can directly compare them. I'm 5'9" and a muscular 185-190 and was advised to get an A2. A2 fit very well around the shoulders/chest, for an "athletic cut" it wasn't as snug around the midsection as I would have liked. The jacket sleeves were about 2" too short. The foam collar was very decent feeling, although significantly larger than other jackets and a bit irritating on the neck. The pants fit very well, but also were about 2-3" too short. Jacket material was really nice, out of the 3 Gi's I mentioned the Gold had what "felt" as the lightest, although it was a very smooth material and I found it was very easily gripped when rolling. The pants were noted to be 100% ripstop which I prefer for breathe-ability, but they felt stiffer than both the War Tribe and Hyperfly pants.Just for comparison the War Tribe Gi was a bit less stiff, had a nicer collar that wasn't irritating and had a very nice athletic fit that left much less material available to grip. It was also slightly rougher than the Gold so a tiny bit harder to grip. Unfortunately the War Tribe ran small for an A2 in the chest and shoulders. The War Tribe jacket seemed to stay put when rolling more than the Gold or the Hyperfly which both liked to open up a lot.The Hyperfly, although 275 gsm, felt thicker most likely because of the diamond pattern on it. That diamond pattern is slightly irritating on the hands when gripped and I had a couple of rolling partners note this. Fit wasn't great, not athletic cut at all and kind of tented around my chest and shoulders. The pants were superb, easily the best of the 3 and while ripstop pants they also felt and breathed completely like cotton. So why am I returning. Well for one fit, I don't see an A2L option on Amazon, although I'm sure it would be available through them. But a big reason I'm returning is it was very clownish looking, which is a huge shame because it was such a nice Gi. The light blue stitching is very bright and garish and covers pretty much the entire Gi. Even worse the huge "G" patches on the arms and hip are bright yellow, really large and just completely garish. I thought about removing them, but was still left with the loud blue stitching. These issues don't look that bad on the website, but in person it's a very loud Gi. Yes I know the first thought that comes to mind was I should place functionality over looks, but hey it's still ok to look good. But in any event in terms of functionality the War Tribe was the winner in this showdown. In terms of aesthetics both the Hyperfly and War Tribe handily won because they had understated designs without any garish stitching or patches. Suggestion for Gold BJJ, ship the patches separately and give us the choice to apply them. I think pretty much most major Gi companies have at least one stealth and/or blacked out Gi.Gold, if you ever decide to release a plain, matched stitching, minimal or no patch (or blacked out patches) Gi then please email me and I'll be first in line to buy one.

Nice, light and long
This is my second gi from GOLD. I'm 5-11 190it's what you would expect from gold, well made and comfortable. The weave feels nice against bare skin and is pliable. The stitching is secure and straight, and it is reinforced in all the right places. The size is a pretty typical A3.Out of the box the sleeves are pretty long.I washed and dried on HOT and saw just a little shrinkage. My pics posted are prior to washing, sleeves shrunk maybe .5 inchThe sleeves are probably just right now. They are a little longer than my 450 gsm gi from gold, even after the hot wash. The collar looks to be identical to the original Gold gi. Thick and a little rubbery. In my pic the aeroweave is the black. Original gold gi in white.Pants look to made quite well, very similar in size and stitching to the original Gold. Length is about .5 inch longer than OG.as an owner of both aeroweave and OG I can say I really like them both. When it's hot I'll be wearing the new light gi for sure. My OG will still be worn regularly as well.If you have long arms the aeroweave will be perfect. Shorter arms, get the OG and shrink it a little. I've washed and dried both of my Gold gis on hot.. shrinking is minimal but you do get some.

10/10 recommend this Gi
One of the best light weight gis I have ever bought. It feels like a gi I’ve owned and worn for 3 years. Nice flexible fabric and extremely breathable. Best of all the sizing actually worked for me on the first go. This do shrink quite a bit if you dry them. This is good for people like me who swim in jackets but the pants fit, or if the jacket fits the pants don’t go above my knees. For reference I’m 5’5 and 165lbs, mostly bottom heavy with large hips and legs. I got the A0H and the bottoms were perfect straight from the package. I was worried they’d shrink but I’ve washed them twice in cold water and they’ve maintained the size. The top was a little big because I’m smaller up top however after one round of drying it fit perfect. Since then I’ve washed on cold and hung dry, no additional shrinkage. Also want to note I was blown away with the packaging. Most gis (even from high end companies $200+) come in a clear plastic bag and that’s it. This was nicely packaged in a Gold branded box with a sample of their pre roll and an info card. Those small details go a long way.10/10 recommend this gi! I’ll be buying more for sure!

A very strong & well made ultralight gi. VERY light weight & is holding up quite well a year later.
I bought this in the summer of 2019 since my jiu-jitsu school doesn't turn on the AC in the summer, so in East TN it is really hot and humid. I wanted a gi that was not as hot as my Origin or even my lightweight Hayabusa gi. I had bought my bluebelt from Gold BJJ and really liked it, so I thought I'd give this ultralight gi a try. It is better than I expected. I have used it about twice a week since I got it and it has held up really well. We roll hard at my school and this gi has no issues and still looks pretty new. Everyone, even the upper belts, are quite shocked by how light the top is when I hand it to them. I've never felt a gi this light that wasn't one of those cheap karate beginner gis that seem like they're made of paper. I still use it every week even now that it's cold since the school is heated and we all sweat a lot. I wash it after every use (which everyone should do or gross!). I rarely do product reviews but I'm really impressed by this gi and can highly recommend it. 5 stars. August 2020: I bought a second gray one now, about a year after buying the white one. My class mate also bought one and loves his too.
