Extremely bad taste and could not even stand the smell of it. Colour too after breing was brown instead of black. Don't go by the ratings as this is certainly not worth spending money on. Will never buy this brand again.

I am not a coffee aficionado/guru. However I do like my coffee to be medium strong in flavour without any unpleasant or bitter aftertaste. On this count, I really liked this coffee from Kalledevarapura estate.Packaging: As always, Blue Tokai has very good packaging. When opened the coffee aroma was strong and fresh.Also I got the coffee delivered within a few days of its packaging.Energy Level: I was surprised that after having this coffee I was able to feel the caffeine high for almost 2 to 2.5 hours (whereas by comparison with Cothas Coffee the high lasts only about 1 to 1.5 hours).Overall very satisfied! Hope to enjoy this coffee for some more weeks/months and will share an update.

I first picked up BlueTokai's Kalledeverapura Pulp Sun Dried Coffee in BlueTokai's Cafe in Mumbai.It is a Medium Roast rich bodied aromatic coffee that has low acidity and a strong enough flavour to wake you up everyday for work.After my first try, I started buying the same coffee on Amazon. While the packaging is the same and it reaches me in 1 day - faster than their own webstore, I have experienced that it is a few days less fresh when bought on Amazon. The coffee starts losing its robust flavour. In the rainy season, the coffee packet was also slightly damp altering the coffee flavour to taste musty.If you have to buy or subscribe to Blue Tokai, I would suggest you to do so directly from their webstore to avoid above problems, unless they start shipping equally fresh coffee to Amazon customers too.Blue Tokai is clearly one of the best and well-known speciality coffee brands in India. Their packaging is impressive, even creative and the quality excellent for everyday consumption. Specially recommended for black coffee drinkers.

Price is high.

I've been using this particular brew of blue tokai for a long while now. I either use a bialetti moka pot or a hario v60 depending on the kind of coffee I want. If I want it dark and strong the bialetti does the job perfectly. If I want a light diluted coffee which explores the subtle notes better, the v60 works for me. Since I started buying blue tokai, I haven't had to look for another place for my coffee apart from the times when coffee is over and I'm desperate.One batch which I had ordered had some problem with it. My guess is that the beans were over roasted and hence the lingering sweetness which I'm used to with this brew wasn't there. It tasted dark, smoky and burnt. The bitterness was also not a nice bitterness. When I wrote to blue tokai about this issue, the complaint was promptly resolved. Heart warming service at its best.

I was trying various roasts of Blue Tokai, Like French Roast , Monsoon Malabar, and then Kalledevapura . I feel all are good , now i am trying the different grind of the same coffees , i am sure i will finally decide on one particular coffee with the kind of grind that will make the exact coffee brew that i am looking for !

Wonderful flavor, nice taste but the price is little bit at higher side.
