... a paper I was writing and it provided a great deal of helpful information
I used this book as a research tool for a paper I was writing and it provided a great deal of helpful information. I also copied many of the paintings in the book to include in my paper about Mondrian. Overall, very useful. I can't speak to the readability of the entire book since I only skimmed through it in search of specific information.

If you want to buy a book featuring paintings of Mondrian, this is just that.
Mondrian was a great artist and I love looking at his paintings, specifically his stuff before his straight lines and primary colors faze. I know that that is what he is known for, but I suppose I am not sophisticated enough for all that.

A Mondrian Scholar recommends this book as "the best comprehensive book on Mondrian's life and art."
I do not have this book yet,but want to share a footnote from the book PIET MONDRIAN, LIFE AND WORK.In that book, the Mondrian scholar Marty Bax (who also wrote/compiled the book COMPLETE MONDRIAN) notes in the footnotes to her essay for ...LIFE AND WORK (p133)Notes2...The best comprehensive book on Mondrian's life and art is still C. Blotkamp, Mondrian: The Art of Destruction (New York, 1995.)Good enough for me. I'm going to order my copy.

Comprehensive and beautifully illustrated
I needed this for a research project but enjoyed this work on its own merits.

Mondrian
Very interesting and informative. Would have appreciated more colour, too many of the paintings are depicted in black and white copy.
