Everyday Princess ZipBin 40 Pony Rainbow Park w/ 1 Pony

I bought this for my daughter who, at age seven, loves playing with her My Little Pony figures. This ZipBin fits many of her own ponies inside (the product comes with one generic pony, which is great for those who don't already have a pony collection), and when unzipped there is a lovely meadow design for the ponies to play on. As a storage option to keep her ponies together on a shelf, the ZipBin is perfect.The problem comes when you try to use it as a carrying case, because the lid does not stay on properly. So we weren't able to use this to bring to a friend's house, in fear that a pony would be lost along the way. Worse, when you try to lay it out flat to play upon, it does not actually lie flat. The edges bend upward, wrinkling the surface, and the ponies aren't able to stand on it. I had hoped my daughter would like it a lot more than she actually did, but she never wanted to play with it because her ponies always fell over. So while the design is really great and the concept of being able to unzip a carrying bin into a play area is awesome (and for the price, this item had potential to be so amazing), in practice it unfortunately just doesn't work out so well.

The lid on this thing DOES NOT STAY ON. I imagine if you were going to store this on a shelf that it is fine, but for travel or visiting friends, horrible. The lid does not stay put and always pops off. If it was a deeper lid it would be a huge improvement. Overall not happy with product but I will keep just for the cute floor pad. Also, a note, when this item is closed the corners take up a lot of space within the bag. Notice in my pics how shallow the lid is and how it is misshaped.

Like many others, I expected this to be bigger. I have a zip bin type storage container for my son's star wars toys that is about 3xs this size. I saw the dimensions on the box with a picture of it in closed box form listed as 15.8"x17.8" and thought, "PERFECT!". What I failed to note was the photo directly below showing it in open form listed as 9x7x5". Yup, the sizes are reversed for the photos and the box when closed is 9x7x5" - about the size of a kids shoe box. I had hoped to use this for my 3-yo's My Little Pony's but this will only hold a few of them. It's okay for now, but if she continues on this trend, we'll outgrow it very soon. It's still a cute little bin and should clean fairly well. I guess the price should have clued me in - it's only around $10 right now.

Glad I read the reviews or I would have been shocked on the size here. It is smaller than even a shoe box. It is the size of a toddler shoe box... maybe. No, it will not really hold the bigger My Little Ponies. But that is fine. We have a bunch of the tiny MLPs and it works great for those. Also it is my 2 year old playing with it and not me, so her hands are much smaller so she doesn't seem to have a problem with the size. Will be great for travel. Great for storage. Great idea. But, I would love to ask the manufacturer to make these in different sizes. I would happily pay twice as much for one twice the size!

Perfect size to carry lots of MLP mini's and a few of the larger ones. Our 2 1/2 year old grand daughter plays with her MLP ponies on the very pretty scenery printed on the unzipped, flattened out bin during the day then we pull up the zipper sides for her and all of the mini's "go to their room" as she puts it.The lid fits perfectly and makes a great make believe swimming "hole".She puts some of the regular size ponies inside, but there isn't enough room for very many. Be sure to note the manufacturer's size of the bin.The handles make the bin easy to carry to her toy storage racks where she has made a place for it among the other bins. This is definitely well worth the very reasonable price!

I really like the design of this zipbin. In fact I'm going to order larger styles for my son's dinosaurs and cars. But this particular model is too small for more than a few My Little Ponies, which I had intended it for. I gave my daughter 7 regular sized my little ponies I had saved from the 1980s and only 5-6 of them fit. we can shove everything and their accessories in but the lid won't stay on. A collection of Ponies needing their own bin seems like more than 4-6 to me. So this really seems better suited to smaller horse and unicorn toys. I also wish this came with velcro or some sort of fasteners. This being said, my 2 year-old still really loves this and carries it around the house dropping ponies as she goes :)

My 2 year old daughter loves carrying this around as a bag. The lid does not stay on very well, and has basically been discarded for use. The zippers work, but are too difficult for her. I was hoping this could be both a container for her ponies and horses, plus a carrying bag for them, plus a "playground" for them. But it's basically just an awkward purse for her now. Perhaps it would work better for an older child.

My girls collect the mini blind-pack My Little Pony figurines and these are perfect for toting these around. The bin doesn't actually zip but the top just fits on, and you pick it up to carry. The lid doesn't quit fit securely but actually rather loosely when you carry it. This is why I only give it 4 stars instead of 5. It fits a lot of the ponies but it is still a little smaller than I'd like. The inside does fold out to make a flat playing area, but my girls don't really use this as much as I thought they would. Still, there is no other MLP storage bin to my knowledge similar to this, so it worked for us!
