I felt these are the best leg chair buffers for use on tile. FYI the screw on application, requires more work than the "nail on" version. I used a single piece as a template, marked the hole with a fine magic marker on each leg, pre-drilled a pilot hole, then screwed on the buffer.The sizes are true to the advertised illustration.

PROS: these chair leg sliders are a much better value that what you can get at local big-box store when purchased in quantity. The 1" size is a good fit for most wooden chairlegs. They slide quietly & easily on our tile floor. They stay put far better than the adhesive-backed plastic or felt pads I have tried in the past.CONS: they wear faster than the stock nail-on plastic glides that came on our quality dining room chairs. The stock screws are also too large: they have large heads that will scratch your floors before the glides are even half worn. They are also too large in diameter to replace nail-in glides without additional drilling. There is a relatively cheap & easy fix for this though: purchase #6 x 5/8" countersunk woodscrews, and you can simply screw these glides into existing nail-holes without fear of splitting the wood. I have enjoyed 3yrs of quiet function on a tile floor before having to replace these glides with new ones by upgrading to #6 countersunk screws. *IF THE MANUFACTURER IS LISTENING: please replace the oversized stock screws with something smaller and more functional!*

Should've got a bigger size but they work great on my floors.

This handy closeable plastic box contains everything you need to add the gliders and screws to protect your wood floors. Easier if you pre drill with a bit smaller than the screw diameter and les likely to split your wood legs. Very happy with my purchase and the box makes it easier to keep everything together should I need to replace a glider in the future. I marked it down for adhesion because these aren't the peel and stick variety.

I used these glides on chair legs. The chairs sit around a table on a rug and are difficult to move by someone seated at the table. These glides, being teflon, help somewhat. I don't think there is a perfect solution to this problem.

These did not hold up. They failed in less than two months sitting in once per day, 180 lbs. on a dining room chair with angled legs. If the legs were flush with the floor they may, but the Teflon peeled back and the washer backing scraped the floor. Ugh!!!! Essentially they are too soft for a sheer stress application.

Had these for a few months, worried that the Teflon coating will come off though.

I predrilled the legs on my chairs before installing the screws. This made the install easy.They work well on my oak kitchen chairs on our hardwood floors
