The supplier's description doesn't say so but the gauge can be used with or without the extension pipe and being a straight rather than angled connector, it is very easy to use. The connector is slightly large for my car's valves but with a little care, no air escapes and the reading is instant. I had expected to be able to use the pressure release button to bleed air from the tyres without disconnecting the gauge but that doesn't happen, it is just for resetting the gauge. The readings are point one of a bar above my two old gauges so I don't know which is more accurate but at least this one is easy to read and being air powered, won't need any new batteries! Nice product.

difficult to take pressure reading. ordered calibrated for psi, supplied with calibration for bars. will remain in tool box for some time to come unused and unloved

This is an excellent tyre gauge with a clear, round dial showing both PSI and BAR, from 0.5 to 4 and 10 to 60 respectively.It is an all metal, solidly built item which holds the pressure reading once it has been taken, until one presses the release button. This enables the accurate reading of tyre pressure without having to bend down to see the gauge whilst it is still attached to the tyre.It comes in a very sturdy plastic box that clicks shut and offers a good deal of protection. Inside also is a one foot screw on extension lead for awkward to reach tyres.All in all an excellent buy for the money.

A very good product that is easy to use in confined places (e.g on my motorbike wheels). Quick and easy reset.

Having broken my 20 year old pressure gauge, i spent sometime looking for a decent replacement. finished on AMAZON and found just the thing. The TST/PG97k is a very neat/compact instrument, well made and easy to use.
