is it okay to leave it longer than 5 minutes as deep conditioner

I usually leave for 10-15 minutes with no problems. I bought this after my stylist remarked my hair seemed really dry and I was too cheap to buy her pricey in-salon offerings. Plus I like the idea of Maui and a pineapple scent to think of great vacations in Hawaii! A month later, she remarked my hair felt good and strong again.

Did your hair mask come sealed in any way? Mine didn't have a plastic seal or an inner lid. I hope I didn't get a returned item.
