Original Top Upper LCD Screen Display Replacement for Nintendo New 2DS XL LL with Opening Tool

I used the IFixIt guide to replace my upper screen in my 2DS and it functions perfectly! The repair process is semi difficult, and I recommend handling the DS system delicately. You will likely need a repair kit alongside this screen and screwdriver to wedge the device open. Be very gentle with the little red wifi cable inside, it snaps quite easily. Great price and I saved a lot of money compared to going to a repair shop. I replaced my screen about 3 months ago and it still works fantastic. It is durable and works just like a new one.

Came protected in a nice foam box . Only thing to note is their is s film on the screen that you need to take off its hard to see but its their. Will definitely buy more when needed to repair other councils

I would not recommend this replacement screen. It is insanely dim. I did not have auto brightness on and made sure to have brightness set to 5. The only good thing about using it is that I can use the 2ds xl again. If I mod it I'm sure I can tweak it a little bit. And LED's bleed through the display. Seems like whatever diffusing assembly they put with this is terrible along with the LED's themselves. I figured since I already have my hands all over it and partially assembled that I would keep it. The only that helped me was taking the genuine nintendo screen and tearing it down to the led plastic assembly and lcd glass. And using the led light plastic assembly ( lenses and sheets) and replacing the one that came with this display. It helped a ton and stopped the backlight bleed. I would not recommend this as it can be very easy to mess up and destroy. Also If any of you have a 3d printer. Use the heatbed to assist in removing plastic and the LCD from the top lid adhesive. It works insanely well. It made my screen swap under 30 minutes ( mostly waiting on the printer to warm up. ) Just be sure to use some guitar picks and a razer and take it slow. Making sure to put the top assembly back with a heat source when it becomes too hard to make any more progress. This should not take much force! ( The old LCD may crack but aslong as your gently you wont have shards all over)

This is awesome. It takes a good amount of patience to replace the screen. I’m not sure what the other reviewers were talking about it not being the right screen or being scratched. It has a peel off screen protector on it and it’s everything you need to replace the screen.

As others have mentioned, the tool that comes with it is crap and will strip it. Get a sharper pointed triwing. That said, despite it being an incredibly difficult install, it does work, although there is a bit of backlight bleed on the side. Overall just glad it works.

Hesitated at first because of the reviews but this screen is great almost looks as good as original a slightly dimmer but cant really notice. Very very happy with this product
