Cavagna(50-A-190-0041) 24" Acme LP Pigtail

Just put my new hoses on and right away saw the difference in quality from the Camcos I took off and they were less than a year old. I think some of the problem, after the fact, was worn seals in the bottle valves. The camcos started leaking after I filled the bottles. These Cavagna hoses sealed right up. Checked with soapy water to make sure. Will have valves replaced when I fill them up next time. The bottles are 11 years old and was told they only last (seals) about 7 years. Added the Auto change over valve from Cavagna at same time just to make sure. I like the look and the ease of seeing the condition of bottles from outside the slide out trayI saw a post from a fella that he did not like the hoses because they leaked between the knob and hose. Thats a sure sign that the seal inside the valve is worn.

1 of 2 started leaking after a year. Noticed the leak on the second tank change (dont use much gas). Giving it 3 stars because 1 is still working and I did leave them uncovered in the sun. But still, Id expect it to last a bit longer. The leak is on the brass hose crimp collar between the hose and ACME connector. (not sure how else to explain it lol)

This product was very easy to install and it is made with quality workmanship the only reason I gave it 4 stars as I'm concerned with how long it will hold up in the Sun

Bought to replace another Cavanga that had gone bad after just a few months.

I recently received my order and was I surprised! When ordering, I looked at the picture advertising the pigtail and can clearly see two pigtail hoses packaged as a set. That was what I thought I was ordering, boy, do I feel stupid, believing a picture on an advertisement. One pigtail does not let you connect two LPG tanks. Since I selected this item under the "others buying this also selected" when ordering an automatic regulator valve which us supposed to switch from an empty LPG tank to a full one. It was "alluded to" as part of a kit. Sheesh!

Great product for the price! As the picture shows there are clearly two different hoses so know that only one hose comes and as always read the product details. I noticed a review that as negative because of that. My local propane distributor sales this same hose for $60.00 each. This is a heck of a deal!

These replaced the old hoses on my camper and were easy to install.

Attention Airstream owners - if you have the 3/8 outlet Cavagna regulator, the 15" version does in fact have the 3/8" connector, even though it is described as 1/4" both on the package and in the page here. Very happy to have found this!
