Best USB power-point I own!
I love this USB power-point. It was perfect for my application. It is extremely well-built and if the internals are anything like the externals it may last forever.I use it to run an 8 inch tablet and a Samsung S8+ mounted on the handlebars of my Goldwing. The tablet is running GPS and the phone is running some tracking and recording software. Both use the GPS modules and both use tremendous amounts of power. Typically I would barely keep even or even lose a bit throughout the day on longer rides. Not with this one. Both devices are topped off when I stop, even on a 1014 mile non-stop run. I'm impressed.I've actually wired this one into the accessory key-on power circuit and buried it in my fairing. Internally, the fairing is not 100% waterproof so having something that can handle some weather is crucial. This charger fits that criteria. It is also heavy duty enough that I'm not worried about it getting bounced around at all. Not that it should get bounced around, but this one will certainly handle anything I can through at it. I'm pretty sure you could run it over with a car and it would be fine. It's that stout.I have a total of three USB power-points on my Goldwing and will likely replace the others with more Cliff-Top in the future. They are a bit spendy, but worth the money. (If they were just a touch more reasonable I'd replace the other USB now, but I'm not marking off for that.)I use USB power-points in all my vehicles in some form or another and this one is by far the best one I own.

Works well. It's solidly built, and looks good. Higher quality than I expected at this price.
I didn't know exactly what to expect when I ordered this...but when I received it, I was pleasantly surprised! This unit appears to be very well made. It's a substantial piece of hardware...the pictures don't really give you a good sense of its size, but the receptacle is a sizeable chuck of solid aluminum. The locking ring (the knurled part underneath the bracket) is toothed on top to grip the bracket and remain snug. The receptacle itself is made with an indented ring around the top, and the rubber cap has a matching protruding ring on the inside, so when fit together, the cap is sort of 'locked on'. I have no doubt that the cap will keep any water out of the receptacle. The wires were long enough to go from the outside edge of my handlebars to the battery which is in about the middle of the bike. I did remove the black plastic jacket from the wires (it is loose, it just slides off) and replace it with some heat shring wrap...but that's just me being fussy! I think the stock jacket would have worked fine.Once connected, I plugged in a number of devices to check operation. One of them was my Nexus 6P smart phone. This phone charges very fast IF you are using the proper charger (i.e., the one that came with it, or one specified by Google). All other chargers will work at a slower rate. If you plug in this phone to an old Ipod or any old USB charger, the phone will report that it's "Charging Slowly". If you plug it into the factory charger, it will say "Charging Rapidly". If you plug it into this charger, it says "Charging", and it charges pretty well. I plugged my phone in while it had %15 charge, and left it plugged in for about 20 minutes will I did a couple other things...it was at 29% when I unplugged it. That may not sound all that wonderful, but besides the chargers that I specifically bought for this phone, it's the fastest of all the rest I have. One thing to be aware of...when powered, even if no usb device is plugged in, this receptacle has a colored LED that glows. Mine is blue, but I chose the blue color, so I don't know if ALL of them glow blue or if they match the body color. But the point is, this LED is constantly on, which means it's constantly drawing power. It WILL drain the battery if left on long enough. I can't say how long that is...but I'm just pointing it out so you don't forget! If you leave the rubber cap on, you won't see the glowing LED! On my bike, I put a plug on the end of the wire that matches the battery tender plug. I power this receptacle using the same wire I use to charge my bike with the battery tender. I generally plan to leave it unplugged, unless I need it. Eventually, I'll either put a switch in the wire, or attach it to a relay somehow so that it's only powered when the key is on. If I had my preference, I'd have left off the LED!I'm attaching a couple pictures I took of it on my bike. My motorcycle is a 2014 BMW R1200GSA. As you can see, I've mounted the receptacle at the right end of the handlebars. This is really the only place it will go on the handlebars...because they get thicker as you get closer to the center...too thick for the bracket to fit over them anywhere else! I actually like this position, so far. Other options included the crash bars. I thought about mounting it to the bar that holds my navigation, but to do that I'd need a reducer to work with the much smaller bar.

Excellent USB power supply.
This thing is solid. It is a little on the bulky side, and if you don't have room on your handlebars, this will likely be too big for your application. The good news is if you have a spot where you can drill a hole and flush mount it, then it would look excellent mounted that way. I didn't have the room to use it on my motorcycle but I did have a chance to test it electrically. I was able to draw 2 amps from each socket without problems, as I increased one of the sockets to 2.5 amps the protection circuitry kicked in. The DC-DC converter inside is pretty efficient. I was pulling 1.6 amps at full current load. Given calibration differences and other variables, these are reasonable numbers. Great Product.

Best USB power solution I have found... and I've tried several. Including Powerlet.
I may add a second unit to my bike. I produce travel videos from my motorcycle and need to charge several camera batteries at once. I wired it into my bikes power supply and I couldn't be happier. The build quality feels quite robust. Aluminum housing, the rubber cap is quality and seals well against weather. Leads are long enough to wire into many bikes battery. Power delivery is awesome. If it lasts... this will be one of the best additions to my bike.

Top Quality
Bought this for my motorcycle so I can charge my phone while I'm riding since I listen to music on my phone and also use it for navigation. This is a very high quality unit with a very nice stainless steel mounting bracket! Absolutely love it!

Could shoot it into space it is made so well.
This thing is amazing. The machining and fit and finish are 1st rate. Just the weight of it is impressive. Took a while to get here from Taiwan, but for 2x-3x the price this was worth it instead of having a plastic socket and plastic mount. This mount is metal and comes with some rubber pieaces to adapt to smaller bars.

Demasiado pesado.
