DEWENWILS 60W 120V AC to 12V DC Outdoor Low Voltage Transformer with Timer and Photocell Light Sensor, Weatherproof, Specially for LED Landscape Lighting, Spotlight, Pathway Light, ETL Listed

This transformer was very easy to install and has all the power and features I need - and few I don't. Sixty watts is less capacity than most available transformers, but it is more than plenty for me. I don't ever expect to hook up more than a dozen lights. I use the 'on at dusk, off at dawn' setting which I find most convenient. It has an 'on at dusk, off after 2-8 hours' setting, which I suppose would save some money. But, really, it'd be only a buck and a half per month. The unit also has an overload indicator, which immediately led me to discover a shorted light. That was helpful. I can't speak to its longevity. If it breaks I'll update this review.

This is a good product. It was easy to install and set up. I've got mine set to come on at dusk and go off at dawn. It's on my front porch and there's a light on the porch. One night I turned on the light to go out and turn off the water and the yard lights went out. I didn't notice until I step back inside and turned off the porch light. It was very dark in the yard. The yard lights came right back on in a minute or so. It's working just as it's supposed to but in the past, I always bought transformers with timers. I had not considered that the light sensor would be sensitive to a porch light. Just be careful where you install it. This is not a negative review of the product in any way. It works well and I'm very happy with it.

I got a new deck and deck post lamps, the installers of the decks obivoulse had no idea what they were doing. They installed a 120v AC to 12v AC Transformer. For LED Lights... This caused flickering and the transfomer was a peice of junk and died.. I did some research and all my caculations came that this transfomer would work fine.. Just installed it and all my lights are perfectly fine. I will say you need to be aware of voltage drop for the furthest lights away, around 50feet you won't have much issue, but if you are planning on running this thing to 100+ feet the furthest lights could be dim... Good water proof connections are a must if you want good lights using DC Power. Only had it for 1 day but did exactly what i wanted, plus i love that the photocell sensor is built into the unit and not a separate cable, so much better.

This timer replaced an analog unit which I installed over a decade ago and required manual adjustment several times per year as daylight varied. This Dewenwils unit offers a variety of automatic options. I chose to set it to turn on a dusk and run for six hours all year long. Set up was straight forward and you can toggle through the choices. The wiring terminals are familiar and easy to connect. Since we use 3w outdoor LED lights, this unit will accommodate quite a few fixtures. I give it four stars because I have not yet determined long-term reliability. No more adjustments for me.

This is the best. It’s small sturdy plastic case. Well designed push buttons for set up. Clearly marked. Only 2 wires to connect. Took me about 3 minutes to hook it up, hand it up, and program it for run time. Woke up at 0400 to check on my garden lights and they were all shining brightly as they should. I can’t say enough great things about this unit. The price was terrific also.

Easy to use and install

Purchased to control some pathway lights. For simplicity, the standard "on at dusk for 2 hrs" works for me...especially in the winter when it's dark before I get home. Simple to install and operate. Little weather contact to date, but seems rugged enough. It hangs on a single mounting tab. Not particularly secure, but no problems with it. Cord was sufficient to get to my outlet, so no complaints there, either. I'd recommend.

We bought an outdoor light set several years ago, Better Homes + Garden, from Walmart and the transformer finally died. The part number was SKU: 192088551 UPC: 840623108888 PW903P-A3512. They no longer make this set. The transformer was an 18VDC system at 35W. The Dewenwils transformer is at 12VDC, but it works fine with the old lights. I cut the barrel connector off the old transformer, stripped the wires, and connected it to the new Dewenwils. Inside the barrel connector it has a plus/minus for the positive/negative. There is a hole in the bottom of the Dewenwils for the light sensor, you might have to remove the plug blocking it. I plugged in the new unit and set it to Auto with the button. Everything worked great.

Purchased this for my low voltage landscaping project to install spotlights to highlight the trees and shrubs. I found the low voltage was very well made and was super easy to install. I had 8 lights added to the main line and they all work great. Lots of different settings that are very easy to navigate and set up as you please. Overall I am very happy with the product and found it to be good value.

This transformer is ideal for our garden lights. We have six lights attached. Easy to install and setup. The settings include various durations from permanently ON and in hourly increments or the setting we use, ON at dusk and OFF at dawn. Good value.

Worked out of the box as expected. Very easy to use.
