Zatarain'sGumbo Base, 4.5 oz

I couldn't find this in my town as I have moved away from a big city to a small town. I had to purchase online and I'm grateful that it was available in a 12 pack. It came in perfect condition, all 12 were in a sturdy package in addition to the amazon package. The expire date is about 2 years I think... Its really far out so I'm happy that it is fresh and not expiring soon. This one to me is better than the one with rice. I love the broth and I like to make my own basmati rice on the side. Will be purchasing online again 100%

I buy Zaterain's products quite often. For the past year or so, I have not been able to find the Gumbo Base in the grocery stores. Thank goodness for Amazon!If you don't want to make your entire gumbo from scratch, I recommend this base. I don't have to add any extra flavoring to season it up. All I have to do is add in the gumbo veggies, meats and rice and it's a super easy yet yummy meal.

This stuff is great but not available in stores in the north woods, so ordered quantity online.

Makes easy work of gumbo in a pinch. Saves time. Still not a good as home made roux but it works.

No other gumbo base comes close to Zatarains. It’s the closest thing you can get to actually being in New Orleans

This product is fine my cousin has used it many times. I sent 2 cases of it to her in Grand Junction Colorado for her birthday. But when the cases arrived one of the cases was open, and one of the boxes had been removed! I don’t know if that was at the Zatarain Company or the at the Amazon shipping site!? I wish whoever is responsible would replace this item for me. It was not opened in the mail. Thank you
