Great book for nursing students!
Such a great resource to use when studying for pharm exams! After looking over my notes and class PowerPoints, I would do a few questions from this book to test my understanding of the material. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I dislike that the questions are organized by body system, rather than by drug class.

This book performed a miracle on me
This book only got me a 99.67 on my pharmacology hesi. I’m not saying it will get you the same grade, but it definitely helped me understand the questions and rationales a little better. 10/10 would recommend lol

Great well rounded book for simply meds
It may not all align with your particular curriculum but it does serve a good basis to further thinking and use the nursing considerations into its answers

Highlights the "need to know"
Highlights the "need to know" about the material. Prototype drugs from class seem to nearly always be covered in this book.

This books needs a good editor. Don't waste your money
There is a startling amount of questions where the answer talks about a different medication. For example:17. The client newly diagnosed with a seizure disorder also has type 2 diabetes. The HCP prescribes phenytoin for the client. Which intervention should the nurse implement? The answer in the back states "Diazepam (Valium), a benzodiazepine, may affect the client's antidiabetic medications [...] there is no reason to discuss diazepam (Valium), a benzodiazepine, being prescribed for a client with type 2 diabetes". But... hello... the question didn't ask about diazepam and diabetes! The question was about phenytoin and diabetes! And that isn't an isolated question. Many of the questions and answers in the back don't match up, which makes you waste your time researching everything.
