FR Shirt for Men - Fire Resistant Shirt for Men - Work Shirt - Khaki Welding Shirt

I am a union ironworker who welds every day. Usually by the second or third wearing I have holes in my shirts. I have only wore my Ur shield work shirt with FR protection around five times, but so far no holes. Everytime I do put it on I am surprised how soft and comfortable it is, the fit is remarkably well. More like a dress shirt than a work shirt. However my wife who usually does my laundry, yes sometimes I help. She complains of having to keep it separate from the rest of my laundry for the fact of not being able to use fabric softener on it. The tag states not to use fabric softeners on the shirt for the purpose of effecting the efficiency of the FR value.

We live in Rural Oklahoma. Finding FRC is easy, but out here you have to pay $50 or more per shirt. FRC is a requirement for my husband's job, so when he was needing more shirts and telling me he was just going to have to give in and buy a shirt or two, I said I'd check out Amazon. Well, I stumbled upon these shirts, ordered two of this style, and they are great. Plus they were WAY less expensive than purchasing FRC here! We were able to get 4 FRC shirts in total for less than the cost of purchasing 2. And my husband really likes the style and look of this shirt. This is a great purchase!!!!

Husband love to wear to work due to it's lightness and durability.

My son is going to welding school and while I cannot truly attest to the warmth of the shirt (it's SE Texas and it's hot right now), I imagine it will be warm enough for our climate. It's pretty durable but would be better with some type of snap enclosure instead of button. As for comfort, my son says it is so-so BUT he is quite picky so his so-so could be someone's just fine. I bought him 3 of these shirts as an added layer of protection while welding since he has already burned his belly and his arm a little! So far, so good in terms of that protection.

He likes them.

Pictures of holes in both sleeves are after one week of welding. Bought 2 shirts used alternatively for 5 business days and got burn holes from sparks. Not impressed with the fire resistance which is why we bought these shirts. Wouldn't recommend for long term use.

Bought this for my son who just started a career in Welding and Mechanics. He is normally a xl at 5’11 230 pounds but as per the comments I sized down and bought a large , which fit perfect. Will definitely purchase again.

My man needed more FR button up and T-shirts. He never tried UR SHIELD before and says now he won't buy any other brand. He loves the fit, the look and the feel. The 1st one was a little too big XL but he didn't want to wait for another one so he wears all of them. I like the way they look too and there's nothing to the upkeep. Just wash, dry and hang. No wrinkles. Very nice.
