Quick stir fries, carmelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, grilled cheese sandwiches
Every time one of those shopping networks has Curtis Stone on, he just has a fun segment with showing off the capabilities of his cooking pans. I've been coveting those pans for the better part of a year and finally decided to get a refurbished pan set off Amazon. I have an induction cooking surface and these pans are just outstanding for that. I don't have to worry about my husband ruining yet another nonstick pan because he's part of that crowd that thinks cooking on high or near high will get the food on the plate faster. I mean, I guess it technically can, but not without being charred and practically inedible. He loves the regular pan for cooking a quick egg and bacon before he goes off the work and we all love the various things I've cooked up for the past month. Grilled cheese sandwiches on the grill pan, grilled burgers and thin to medium cuts of pork chops and chicken. For the regular pan, carmelized onions, sauteed mushrooms and onions, stir fried shrimp (I recommend add oil for that as shrimp does a weird flaking thing if they come in contact with a hot unoiled pan), scrambled eggs, omelettes. I still like my Farberware nonstick better for fried rice and corned beef hash, but virtually everything else has cooked up better and a lot quicker with the Curtis Stone pan. I'm looking forward to trying fish during Lent, something I'd never dream of doing previously as white meat fish tends to be too delicate for pan cooking.
