The Logic of God: 52 Christian Essentials for the Heart and Mind [Zacharias, Ravi] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Logic of God: 52 Christian Essentials for the Heart and Mind Review: Sanctification Support at its Finest - I received a free copy of this book to review and I loved it so much that I bought another copy for my BFF! I had heard of Ravi Zacharias, but I’d never read one of his books before despite my best friend being a huge fan. I knew he wrote on apologetics, but that was about it. After reading this book, I am now a huge fan myself. I zipped through this book in a matter of days—I just couldn’t put it down for long. Zacharias helps us make sense of the truths about God and how to practically apply them through his words and the reflective questions at the end of each chapter. Throughout my journey in this book, I felt overwhelming encouragement to live a life for Christ and personal conviction in areas of my life that I need to give to Jesus. Some people look for self-help, this book is sanctification support at its best. Jesus doesn’t leave us where we were when we first met Him, He pushes us to grow. This book supports spiritual growth and maturation as we apply God’s wisdom to our lives. What I love most about this book is that it clearly demonstrates the timelessness of our Lord God and His Word. Every chapter proves relevant to our culture and society today. I appreciate so much the wisdom to navigate a time where everyone can so readily be influential via the internet and social media. We are called to be different and Zacharias clearly outlines how God’s Word says to do it with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. At times, the language is quite academic, so be prepared to read and reread while taking breaks to ponder and relish the lessons. In those moments it makes sense that the authors himself recommends reading a chapter a week to savor and dwell in the truth provided. There were moments of clarity, moments of challenge, and truth after truth about the amazing God who loves us so much that He sent His Son to die for us. There’s so much encouragement in faith and in growth. You will be convicted as you reflect and consider how you can apply the lessons and truths to your own life. Go get this book! You won’t regret it! Review: Insightful- A Perspective - I normally don't write book reviews, but I feel urged to provide a different perspective to Ravi's teachings in light of the revelations. Some have decided to dismiss his writings because of the recent events. I urge fellow believers to have an open mind. I followed Ravi not because of who he was, but because his writings illuminated the faith in a way that I had never understood before. The writings were philosophical, yes, but they were also rooted in scripture, which I consider the inerrant standard. As long as that high standard is kept to, I feel that such teachings should not be ignored. Truth is absolute and doesn't change, irregardless of whether it comes from a mouth of a babe or comes from convict in a prison. Our culture of today has lost this fact and instead swings from one flavor of the month to the next, hence you see the turmoil, the chaos and the pain. Bibilically, God has always used the people we least expect; Rahab at the walls of Jericho, Pharoah in the persecution of Israel to achieve His will. If Ravi did what he was accused up, it is absolutely deplorable but yet, can any of fallen sinners cast a stone? I was upset and shocked but at the same time, it is reflective of our nature. So I ask that you read books with this in mind. Scripture is the acid test. I think this is a deep book and explores some big questions. I found it useful and am still slowly reading it. Ravi's teachings are still about the truth of God and that does not change with time or his actions. It is non temporal unlike many of the cultural beliefs in our world.

Thank God It’s Monday!
Here’s a crazy idea (whether you’re back at the office or still in your bunker): every Monday morning, before you look at your email—invest 15 minutes in reading. If you have the right book, you’ll have a “Thank God It’s Monday” experience. Option #1: Select a...

opens your mind to think deeply about your beliefs
My family and I read through a thought a day and discuss. These have been lively discussions that test our knowledge and why we believe as we do. My 22 year old grandson is learning a lot from our discussions. We have had to look up some of Ravi's words as he is an excellent speaker with an immense vocabulary and thought process and we must ponder deeply what he is saying. Ravi is trustworthy in his knowledge and I feel totally reliable.

Comforting Essays on Christian Topics of Eternal Significance
While some say it is irrational to believe in God, I disagree and think belief in God is very logical. Ravi Zacharias has departed this world but fortunately has left many books behind to guide those who wish to research Christianity from an intellectual viewpoint. I'm always impressed with Ravi's extensive vocabulary and deep insight into how spirituality works. These fifty-two readings can be read as devotionals or as a weekly experience for a year. For someone like me, I of course had to read all these short essays immediately if not sooner. I love thinking deeply about issues of eternal consequence. Some of the subjects this book covers include: truth, redemption, the questions humans ask, naturalism, the main reason skeptics deny God's existence, the human condition, marriage, justice, synchronicity and more... While reading you may feel that this book was written just for you. As Ravi says: "the study of God is the highest science." He also says that he has observed that even the hardened heart retains a longing for the possibility of communicating with God. So we should not give up on anyone as the heart is always seeking. ~The Rebecca Review

Wonderful wisdom filled collection for followers of Jesus through his spirit-filled servant, Ravi.
If you are an aficionado of the late Ravi Zacharias, this will be a great asset to you in your spiritual walk. It poses questions for you to ponder and there is no one better at mastering the most thought-provoking questions than Ravi. The world has lost the best, brightest and most Christ-like person God could have sent. Thank you, Lord, for preserving his works for such a time as this.

Full of insight
I enjoyed this book. Ravi calls me to look at myself and make close examination through the lens of scripture. I tried to read it one chapter per week but became frustrated and just read through at my normal pace. Ravi is very insightful and he has many stories to present his insights in meaningful ways we can relate to.

Answers some questions a skeptic poses
I love reading how Ravi answers questions I’ve been attempting to answer for someone who is questioning things of God. Although I’ve felt mostly solid about many theological issues for many years, someone who doesn’t see my qualifications to answer these gigantic questions of life and faith as can perhaps listen to the answers that Ravi has included in this book, someone unlikely to read through much of the Bible itself, and hopefully God use this to open the eyes of a this person, a skeptic.
