The 800 plug is not a tight fit. I had my saffire interface plugged in to an OWC dock, and just a bit of movement from the headphone cord took the system down. You'll get pops, crackling and lots of loss with this cable is you decide to use it, it is not the cable you've been looking for...

Good quality cable
This is a quality cable that actually works well, unlike some others I've bought. No disconnects or data loss even with a long chain of devices. Great for people still using FW400 like me.
