I just recieved my Aztec baitcasting reel and I'm impressed with is quality, smoothness, light weight. I decided to take a chance order this reel because it has both magnetic and centrifugal spool brakes. It also had also had a very reasonable price so I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did, this smooth reel actually fills a need for me that I didn't expect. I intended to use it on a medium heavy 6 foot Bass rod with 10 to 12 pound mono. However, after pulling it out of the box and assessing it I know it was the perfect reel for several of my 5 foot light casting rods for crappie fishing. I spoiled it with 8 pound mono and put it on my old 5 foot light Ugly Stick...its a match made in heaven! Now i need to order a second one for the 5 foot Shakespeare micro-lite casting rod. My combo casts nicely we will see how well it holds up, that's the reason for 4 stars right now.

So far so good. Looks great. Will be taking it out to the lake this weekend to test reliability. High hopes on a budget. Will report back with feedback. Looking forward to the braided line pack as well, if Nordtale is watching. 👍Edit: Been out with this reel a half a dozen times, and so far it's kept up. Haven't landed anything bigger than 2-3lb bass on it, however it's doing its job this far. Definitely considering snagging a couple more for the collection.

Ordered an Aztec bait casting reel from Amazon yesterday and it came in today with next day delivery. The reel came in a nice factory box and also had a velvet bag for storage. I have to say this reel feels very good in the hand and is butter smooth. Gonna use it on the lake this weekend and I’m excited to see how it does. Just from the minimal testing I’ve done after I spooled it, I’m impressed! The dual braking system is awesome and extremely functional. I would definitely recommend this reel if you are on a budget. I recently purchased the new Nordtale Aztec baitcasting reel and am nothing but impressed. It feels similar to my Abu baitcasters that I use religiously. The reel has a high gear ratio and is perfect for finesse rigs. I use it with a stick worm or drop shots for bass and it performs well. The reel has a good drag and is easy to adjust. I will be getting another reel in the future for a different set up. Thanks Nordtale!

really nice real,,aint used it yet ,,just got it,,but just so you know its a great buy, well crafted,,heavy reel thou,,made with quality. Im very pleased and highly recommend,,if it breaks when i use it ,,ill update my review,,but i know its just fine,,Highly recommend ,,ecspecially for the price!

I usually use spinning tackle but thought that I should give a baitcasting outfit a try without spending too much. This reel is perfect and my buddies that use baitcasting equipment are really impressed and are looking to buy one now too.

Awesome reel for the price paid. It looks and feels great in the hand and palms nicely. It has many features that you'll find on high end expensive reels at no extra cost. Norstale might want to include instructions for sideplate removal and how to set the centrifugal brakes for those who might buy this reel with no prior knowledge of operating a baitcaster. Other than that this reel is a deal! Would buy again.

I was skeptical with the price of these reels. I purchased 3 at one time. I thought what the heck it’s less than I usually spend on one, and if I don’t like them I can take them to Kohl’s and get a refund. Received 2 days after ordering. Reels look awesome, like the oversized handle, seem very smooth when spinning the handle. I paired them with All Star 7’ Medium Action rods. It was 8 degrees yesterday so won’t be flipping any baits soon. Can’t wait to feel a bump bump and think fish on! We add a review after I get them on the water.
