I paid over twice as much for these bulbs as compared with normal LED because they were supposed to work with a dimmer switch. My Light fitting has 9 bulbs, These will work to dim the lights but if I have all 9 bulbs in my fitting, when I try to increase the light to full brightness they flicker constantly making it impossible to use the light on anything except a very low brightness I have now discovered that if I leave 3 of my bulbs out it doesn't flicker. So if your fitting has 6 bulbs or less then buy these as they appear to be well made and will work OK. However if your Light fitting has more than 6 bulbs then try another brand.UpdateThe company has contacted me with a refund for my troubles so I am now satisfied with my purchase.

After about 6months of occasional use 3 had failed in a lamp with 12 bulbs. They go into a low power mode where they come on but much duller. We are not using them (yet) on a dimmer so it just on/off. Just cheap manufacturing I guess. They do get hot to touch too in this failed mode so a fire hazard.

These are great & work fine. I have a 5 arm light unit that normally takes the 40W G9 halogen bulbs which equates to 200W. I also have a dimmer switch to lower the brightness. I have been looking for some LED equivalents for a long time but most of them are not dimmable so are of no use. These LED bulbs are just 3W which equates to just 15W for the whole unit in total. They are also dimmable which allows me to use the dimmer switch with no fuss or flickering. Providing they last as long as other LED lights They will provide a tremendous saving. I will be able to use the light at full power for 13 hours for the same electricity cost as just 1 hour with the old halogen bulbs. Fantastic news.

Also light output is very even. Slightly larger than original lamp but more compact than some others. Perfect for me.

I think it sounds a bit misleading when it says works with various dimmer switches.It should say something like they work with a compatable dimmer switch. Because like myself l have only just found out that you need a special led dimmable switch.I was going to send them back because l thought bulbs were faulty but now l have fitted a led compatible dimmer.lt now works perfect but l have knocked a star off because of the discription.

Good value bulbs but the light is quite stark when compared to other warm white led lamps in my house.

These arrived promptly, well packaged and all in working order. They're a little bigger than the halogen version but also more sturdy and easier to handle – without the need for gloves. I found them much easier to install and the quality of the light is good. They're ideal for my light fitting because they're inside opaque glade shades so not visible.
