I would like to let you know a little bit about me and my book. My inspiration for writing my book is my son. When he was younger he never wanted me to read him a bedtime story but only wanted me to make up stories for him so that he could choose the characters. I admit because I previously worked with children I did read a lot of stories so some days I just combined stories that I remembered reading but most of the time I would make up the stories for him As my son grew I decided to write Max's Yellow Cup. My story is about a 3 yr old that has a favorite yellow cup that is getting old and has a chewed up straw. His mom and dad want Max to use another cup but Max is determined to hold on to the old yellow cup. Knowing how children don't like to part with a favorite item and how hard it can be as a parent to convince your child to give up a blanket, teddy bear, toy or even a yellow cup. Yellow Is the Real Deal
Cindy Roman has realistically depicted a problem that occurs often in families. Children tend to focus on their favorite item and do not want to relinquish it when it wears out. The protagonist in this story rises to a higher level and learns a valuable lesson in the amusing conclusion. Children will enjoy reading this book or hearing it read to them.

Max is such a cute character and children will love him. He's like the boy version of Dora.

What a wonderful book for small children
What a wonderful book for small children. I love the cute story and the illustrations are great. Children will love it and parents will relate to the story line. I definitely recommend this book.
