Guidelines on not to be an employee of visible reality.
There is a graceful little poem from Rumi that I have no doubt inspired the title of Kamal's lovely work:"If you want what visible realitycan give, you're an employee. If you want the unseen world, you're not living your truth. Both wishes are foolish, but you'll be forgiven for forgettingthat what you really want islove's confusing joy."― The Essential RumiI have read Kamal Ravikant's first book, Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It and have met and had some brief conversation with him in person once in San Francisco, so that I both am familiar with his work, and have the genuine delight of being able to confirm that he does indeed live true to its essential spirit. His first book undoubtedly changed my life for the massively better. This second one is a bit deeper, slower, and sweetly thoughtful. Although it contains the deeply personal, the reflections ring true as universal. Kamal's spare and simple writing holds a certain fascination for me. As a former writing instructor and teacher of English grammar, I am fully aware of all the places where he breaks tradition, and the rules, in his choices of words or language patterns. The effect, however, is of a true voice speaking to one in earnest, with heart and with purity of purpose. His is a unique and beautiful voice, homemade and homegrown, in a world containing too many manufactured things and ideas.I heartily recommend all of Kamal Ravikant's works, and give him my full endorsement. May you take his words and make beautiful things out of them in your own life, and in the lives of all you touch, thereafter. Many blessings and a heaping mound of gratitude and love~

Using this book as a guide -- Excited for the magic to happen!
I want to be the best version of myself. Kamal Ravikant's Live Your Truth is helping me achieve that. In his new book Kamal presents readers with an honest reflection on how he came to find his truth and ultimately love himself fully and completely. Who doesn't want that? And who doesn't want to know what their personal meaning is?I do.When I read Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It, Kamal's first book, I was provided a series of step-by-step instructions that worked. The message transformed my life. I am a stronger, braver and more loving person (to myself and to others) since reading that book.In Live Your Truth, Kamal shares the challenges and triumphs that he's experienced since beginning to craft his life philosophy as a series of stories, confiding that they were originally written to himself as a guide for his future self. We can all use a guide like this. One that is authentic, not full of empty promises, but instead comforting. Kamal's experiences demonstrate that it is not always easy being true to ourselves. It's even scary sometimes. But his experiences also reassure us -- the effort is so worth it. It's refreshing to hear this in Kamal's very personal and raw style. It makes you feel less alone. The last couple of years have been pretty incredible for me, as I have begun to see glimpses of what the best version of me looks like. I have the message of Kamal's first book to thank for that. What he shares in his second book provides even more value in that it goes further, takes you deeper. I plan on using this book as my guide and I'm excited to experience the magic that is waiting for me.I've also bought several copies for friends. Because the message inside Live Your Truth is a gift to anyone who reads it.

Can't believe I didn't a review on this sooner.
Honestly, this is a great start for those wanting to go on a spiritual journey to find themselves. Regardless of religion, ethnicity or whatever, we're all just one person trying to find our place in life, and care for those around us. Philosophy is such a wonderful subject, and even the very title of this book speaks to me. Live for yourself, find more about yourself as you live life. And make sure not to fall into the traps that can be found at work or through others.

Be ready to think and to explore your thoughts!
This book is really easy to read but at the same time leads you to reflect and dig deeper into your thoughts and feelings. It also gives you permission to see things as they are and then accept things for what they are and how they touch your life.

A lesson in letting go of attachment
Kama's writing is always beautiful and poetic and touches something deep within me -- this book is no exception. For me, the biggest gift this book offered was a helping hand in learning to let go of attachment to results, particularly regarding my business and "passion" projects. My favorite quote from the book, in fact, has been resting on the bulletin board above my desk for the past several months as a constant reminder:"Somewhere along the way, you do your best, and then you surrender. Let go. Of attachment to outcomes. Attachment to what you desire. Like a paper lantern you light & then release into the night sky.You do your best, you let go.It is not powerlessness. It is freedom. Like you're in a dark room and it's light outside. Surrender means cleaning the window so that light can enter. You're letting the light enter, not making it enter. It is not giving up. It is accepting. And the light will enter. Always does."You are not the outcome or the result, Kamal reminds us. These things can never define us. Rather, you are your effort, and as long as you're living your truth, that's all that matters.Heck yes. Hallelujah! <3

Keep this with the Love Yourself book
I am keeping this book with “Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends On It” as a way to stay on the path and do the Love Yourself practice. It guides me through daily life and keeps me focused on moving forward despite obstacles and distractions in my way. This book reminds me to be in the present moment and to pick something important and then do the work. When I am running from something, life will eventually bring it to me when I stop running.
