Great Tool to Have for Running Cable Through Walls
I recently had to run some cable through the walls in my house and honestly wasn’t sure if I would actually need a fish tape kit like this. After using it, I’m really glad I bought it and added it to my tool collection. It made the job much easier and worked exactly as it should. The rods were easy to use, flexible enough for navigating through walls, and felt durable during use. One thing I liked more than expected was the multiple attachments that come with the kit. I ended up using the magnetic attachment quite a bit, and it actually worked really well for helping guide and retrieve cable in tighter spaces. I also liked that it comes with a protective storage case, which helps keep everything organized and protected when not in use. Pros: Worked great for running cable through walls Multiple useful attachments included Magnetic attachment works surprisingly well Easy to use even for DIY projects Durable fiberglass rods Protective carrying/storage case included Great addition to a tool collection Cons: Rod connections can loosen if not tightened well Takes some practice in tighter wall spaces Storage case could be slightly more heavy duty Overall, this was a very useful tool and definitely worth having if you do networking, electrical work, or home projects involving cable runs. Highly recommend.

Easy to use, clear video instructions, and good value
This worked really well for threading our cables behind the wall. There are videos in the item description, and we found them helpful as we made our first attempts at threading the cords. We now have a clean appearance, cords tucked behind the wall, going into a plate we bought and also exiting and plugged in at the bottom plate. This tool was essential to our success. Easy to use, clear video instructions, and very durable. We will be able to use when we hang the next TV. Good value compared to other similar products.

Nice to have around
I like how flexible they are and how you can add little sections on piece by piece as running, also love how compact the little kit is; takes up no space compared to 5’ sticks Not a fan of how easy the fish sticks come apart (I haven’t had a problem yet but I could see them coming apart in a wall at some point) and how some of the attachments are male and some are female ends. I still prefer the 5’ sticks but these are definitely nice to have for small harder wire pulls and will save you from time to time.

Worked like a charm going from crawl space to attic
Worked perfect for fishing our Cat6a cable about 9’ up a wall between our crawl space and attic. The rods were flexible enough to get through the imperfect holes we drilled, but rigid enough to carry the wire up through the insulation. One note, we ended up having to just duct tape the cable to the rod rather than using the “keychain-like” ring (don’t know the technical name for that) attachment that clamps down on the cable. Turns out, the “keychain-like” ring was too big for our 5/8” hole. That’s a fairly substantial sized hole…actually way bigger than needed for Cat 6a cable. That part of this tool is just too big to fit through any imperfections along the path through the sills and headers. Bottomline though, the rod still worked great…we just had to tape the cable to the rod rather than use the nice attachment that comes with the kit.

Sticky?
The rods seem to be what I was expecting. Inexpensive hardware that functions adequately. However, the rods (all of them) have adhesive residue on them. Enough to where they only come out of the tube all together. If I pick up one rod, I get 4. Maybe they were once wrapped in cheap packing tape? They must be cleaned before using, especially near insulation. Edit: Upon further inspection, I think these were probably used and returned. There is some damage to a couple rods. Shame on someone. Added a star for the product. This behavior is not the manufacturer's fault but still hurts the end user. Update: I did not try to contact the seller but they reached out to me and offered to resolve the issue. As the product is fine and the customer service is outstanding, I have revised my rating again. Amazon however, needs to work on their returned item inspection. They've burned me 3 times now.

Perfect for the right application
Perfect for my needs. I had to fish some cables through a wall with insulation. The fish tape I had was not firm enough to stay straight as I tried to feed it through. These rods were perfect, flexible enough to be easy to work with but firm enough to push straight through the tight space. For this type of job, you can’t beat the price point either. I didn’t need to buy a long fish table for triple the price. This also breaks downs and stores easy, taking up minimal space.

Good idea but does not work well inside a wall
This is a well thought out product. Having separate sections is really smart. The extra pieces to hold the item you want to pull through works well. However, I gave a lower rating because the pieces are too flexible. It is nice to have flexibility when pulling or pushing the rods through something. However, when I used it in the wall I could not get hold of the rods. If you put any pressure on the rods to move them, they just flex but don't move the way you want them to go. It took me a considerable amount of time and tools to grab the rod and pull it out of the hole. I would next time purchase the metal tape so I have more control over where it goes.

great tool for running wires behind wall.
This tool made it easy to pull speaker cable through wall. First time trying this and by looking at instructions on amazon page, it was super clear. This is great tool. I just used 4 of pieces to get it to appropriate length and then attached brass attachment tool and bunny loop to pull 2 speaker cables and 2 ethernet cables... great tool it worked as advertised.

Awesome
This thing is awesome. Tried other variants of cable pullers and this one was by far the best and easiest to use. Where the others failed, this one made it through far enough so I could tie the cable to it and pull it through. Context: Roof cavity and needing to pull cables through to the outside at the edge of a low pitch truss roof.

So far so good
Haven’t used them a ton but have worked really well for the times that I have. Would be nice if they used just a little bit bigger tube to store them in though. It’s a little tough getting everything back in.

Great product and high quality. Good tool addition to any home cable work
Great product and high quality. Good kit for all your cable running needs and packs down to such a small collection for easy storage, all the adapters make cable running so much easier.

Nice Kit
This kit has been very useful for running cables for several projects. The parts fit nicely together and slid through the walls with little issue. The storage container is tight so it's hard to fit everything back into the container once you are done. The other issue is the flexibility of the sections. If they are bent to about 90 degrees they do not go back to their original straight orientation. They remain slightly bowed, which in time may become an issue. Otherwise I would have given the product a 5 star.
