Excellent adhesion
I used this originally to seal around an exterior door and it worked great. But what really impressed me is I used it to pad the corner of an outdoor soapstone bar, and the adhesive has kept it there for over 2yrs now!

Surprised at many good uses for foam tape
Purchased this to use on a metal take with a glass top that wobbled a bit because the shelf that the glass sat in was slightly (almost imperceptibly) bent. Fixed that problem. Then I noticed that a door had a slight gap and let in cold air. Used this to stuff inside the rubber gasket and fixed that! I found this product by accident and very satisfied with the results.

blocks sound.
In my room there has always been not an even door to keep the noise level loud in and out of it. I put this around my bedroom door and sealed it. Now it so quiet even blasting my radio i walk out the room and shut the door and nothing :) Use to hear alot of talking from others in my house at night and the tv. now when i shut my door its so quiet i can hear a pin drop!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Not really very thick to be used as a weather stripping.
I bought this item to use as weather stripping around inside doors. However it really wasn't thick enough in single layer and too thick if I doubled it up. The adhesion however is really great! Once it's stuck on there it's stuck!

Great stuff
Used this to reinstall a roof rack on my Jeep and it was PERFECT. I didn’t use as much as I thought I would, but while I was putting this stuff on I was thinking about all kinds of different uses for the leftover on the roll that’s left. The adhesive on the backside of the material was just right, not too sticky and not too thin at the same time.

Factory coiling should be reversed
I purchased for storm door frame b/c extreme cold revealed some invisible air gaps around the framing that the door trim fuzz wasn’t stopping.I unrolled and applied around frame and threshold and it seemed perfect. The surfaces were all cleaned to make the best adhesive bond. However, the extreme cold and the backward factory winding of the foam roll means there is a tension force perpetually pulling it away from the surface wherever it is applied. The ends of the foam peals back of the surface bc of the tension created over time being forced into a coiled roll. The factory needs to reverse the roll winding so that the tension force is in the direction of the application surface.I was force to put put strips of tape on the edges of ends to keep it from peeling back. The adhesive on the foam is very tacky and yet no match for the perpetual built in tension fighting to return to coiled position. Eventually the adhesive won’t hold when foam is push back to surface. This probably wouldn’t have been an issue if the foam was less rigid like most insulating strips but this one is much more firm and being wider contributes to the tension that is built up by the coiling force.
