Built like a brick sh#&house!!
This is the best phone holder I've owned. I have an iPhone 7 in an OtterBox Commuter case. I tighten the thumb screw to the point where it won't budge, and the phone is stuck. I've taken the bike out on some back country roads that haven't been re-paved in years. Nothing I've hit has produced so much as a rattle from it. I would guess any bump that would knock my phone free would also demolish my front wheel... definitely recommend.

Great experience for road cycling
Happy with this purchase. Solid construction. I've got about 100 road miles on it now and it's like it's a part of the bike (bicycle). The clamp is tight. I've got a slim case around the Moto X4 and I can see the clamp slightly compress the case sides - phone isn't going anywhere. I've had some serious bumps in downhill speeds and no issues. I actually accompany this with those common rubber holders that wrap around the corners. Gives me extra peace of mind, but not sure that it's necessary. Had some bad experiences with other holders where either the phone slips out or the plastic snaps. I feel good having the phone in this mount. The mount did not fit on the stem. 31.8mm handle bars seems to be about its limit. I have the rotating model and there is some slight play in the turning mechanism when mounted. Not annoying but noticeable.

Superb - tough and good looking
Got this to hold my iPhone 7 plus, and kept it for my iPhone X. It's super tough and adjustable in all the right ways.I ended up buying two of these: the "black" and the "black plus rotation." My advice is to avoid the rotating version unless you need to rotate it while riding. The non-rotating one can still be installed in portrait or landscape, but can't be changed without using a hex wrench. The build quality is first rate, and it looks nice too. I have no concerns for the safety of my phone in this thing.

Precise & rock solid!
Best cell phone mount I have owned. The plastic ones break easily or come loose ... this holder feels like it is fused to the handlebar. The guided screw easily loosens & tightens, enabling you to gently secure the phone. My iphone 6 has a leather case, which doesn’t get scratched either. Since I am not sure that my *case* prevents the phone from popping out to the front, I added rubber straps to be on the safe side. Still looks minimal and much better than the bulky plastic holder!

Metal Construction is Always Preferred for All My Cycle Accessories
Solid construction, it arrived looking as well made as the photos made me think it would be. One issue, I don't recall in the descriptions that it said that this could be mounted landscape - but it can. From the photos I guessed by the construction that it could be installed sideways so that your phone sits landscape, so ordering this was a leap of faith. Luckily the mounting is indeed constructed so that the portion holding the phone can be installed 90 degrees apart - or 180 for that matter. It's actually a keyed fit between the two parts that is very nicely machined. My intended use is to start filming all of my cycle commutes again, but I saw no use in lugging around a separate "action cam" because my ride is relatively short. I'll just record each commute, and if nothing noteworthy happens, just delete the video - as was my practice anyway when using a dedicated "action cam" when living in a big city. Now living in a smaller town, the need wasn't apparent at first - but there's too much roadway misbehavior that defies logic and demands recording. It claps securely to my handlebars, and just a wee bit the bar shows in the image, but just enough to act as proof that it's my bike the camera is mounted to - should the need arise to prove that. All metal construction is a huge plus, as this will be used in all weather, all year around. Only negative, it can be lifted by anyone with the right size hex, so unless you have secure storage on both ends of your commute you may have to consider other options. One possibility would be to get some specially "keyed" hardware such is available from some manufacturers of seat clamps to provide theft proof seat hardware - but that's expensive.

This thing grips like a beast!
This an awesome product! It holds my LG Stylo 3 nice and tight without issue. I mostly ride hardpack and greenway trails and it never comes loose. When I ride dirt, I occasionally reach down to give the thumb screw a little tighten, but it it always stays put off road as well. Come with mounting hardware to mount to handlebar, or the stem. I chose the stem mount and it looks great. Low profile and very sleek. I highly recommend this product over all the others!

Best phone holder I have tried.
Tried several phone holders including rigid and silicone and a well-made expensive top tube bag but not satisfied. This one has a perfect 31.8 aluminum band and short support pillar under the platform putting the phone just where you want and gripping tightly but allowing easy removal. Prongs are short and curved slightly and hold my Samsung J3 (Amp Prime 2) in a slim case perfectly. Might be less ideal for thicker phones or bulkier cases. Adaptable to any ht x length.

Old school, bomb proof, lifetime quality.
This holder is no joke. Is beautifully machined, and rock solid. I'm very surprised at the low cost of this. I've bought a lot of little plastic thingies from China that are simpler, yet cost twice as much as this holder. Like others have said, your phone can't be too thick, or this holder can't grasp it. I have an iPhone 6+ in a credit card holder case. My phone in case, is over 1/4", yet this holder still holds it super securely. I just make sure to twist the thumbscrew in tight! So nice to not have to worry about my phone flying out of my pocket while riding now. And having the phone mounted right over the steering tube, is the perfect position for glancing at cycling apps.
