Great story by Danielle Steele
It’s a great storyline that keeps you going. It isn’t a mushy type of a story, but one that many people have read and loved.

Fall from Grace - Opened my heart
I have been a Danielle Steel devotee for more years than I can remember. I do, however, remember that "Palomino" was the first Danielle Steel book I remember reading. I love Ms. Steel's style of writing, the way that she introduces each character of the book, and how she weaves the storyline of each character with the others. Some characters have only a peripheral relationship, while others are woven into closer relationships. Danielle Steel is a master at this.Fall from Grace immediately grabbed my attention and, from then on, I truly had a hard time putting it down at night. I haven't had a book that kept me so totally engaged with the characters and the storylines for a very, very long time.I identified with Sydney's character very much. Sydney and I both lost our husbands unexpectedly much earlier than either of us had imagined. We didn't have children of our own, but my husband had a daughter from his previous marriage. She was in no way anything like the twins and fortunately my husband and I had wills which took care of our property and other small items to be given to his siblings.I certainly suffered from severe depression following my husband's death and the financial difficulties that I encountered (difficulty paying our mortgage with only my income, paying off my husband's debts, etc), and abruptly losing my job of nearly 33 years five months after my husband's death. Talk about getting the rug pulled out from underneath you. When Sydney contemplated suicide after her arrest for something she had nothing to do with, I sobbed. When Ed Chin heard the anguish in her voice, the same anguish he had heard and ignored from his friend/lover years before, and immediately came to Sydney's side, I sobbed. It is true that you find out who your friends really are when you are facing difficult circumstances in your old life.Reading and watching Sydney as she began to rebuild her life from nothing was so inspirational. Finding a business partner in Ed Chin saved her life in more ways than one. Once Sydney began to slowly and carefully let people back into her life she was once again able to open her heart. The most joyous occasion was Steve's early Christmas present for her. You see, the things that you and I take for granted each and every day had been taken from Sydney. The "gift" from Steve returned those most simple things back to her. On that occasion, once again I sobbed, this time tears of joy. This is definitely NOT a book to be missed. Thank you Danielle Steel for sharing these characters with us. Fall from Grace is now my favorite book from my favorite author.

Easy, enjoyable, read
Good story line, engaging characters, easy summer read. I feel like I am betraying one of my most beloved authors, however, when I say that her overuse of the word "and" drove me crazy! Wondering if anyone else noticed this? Very distracting. Overall an enjoyable read with a feel-good happy ending.

A typical Danielle Steele book
I really enjoyed reading this book. It started really badly for Sydney. It became predictable at the end when she moved to Hong Kong.

or better yet Stanford U
I’m drawn to Ms. Steele’s books...I’m not sure why. The plot lines are sometimes similar. The protagonist is usually wealthy, but has some kind of problem that needs resolving. It’s never an average person with a talent. That person always find someone well off that rescues them. Then a handsome rich guy without much baggage, comes along at just the right time and sweeps them off their feet. I might add with advanced degrees from Ivy League schools, or better yet Stanford U. in California. There’s always money for travel and educating the children of the protagonist, and on and on. Never a mention of God’s grace, or their strong Christian beliefs. Life is just full of blessings for her characters. I would just once like to see middle class characters struggle just a wee bit longer for their rewards.

Like most of Danielle Steel books this was hard to ...
Like most of Danielle Steel books this was hard to put down until it was finished. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I have to say the middle of this book bogged down a little with the repetitive feelings/thoughts Sydney had. I understand she may have been telling different people her feelings/thoughts, but the reader had already "heard" it many times. felt like it was used just to fill pages. That being said, the story was true Danielle Steel, with believable and very likable characters and story line. I truly liked the book and would recommend to all who love her books.

Amazing Memoir
I appreciate Mr. Balasubramanian Sir to come out with his amazingly written memoir. Many officers who have done some amazing work are still unknown and Mr. V Balasubramanian is one of them. One should read this book to know an honest view about the bureaucracy in india.

Excellent novel.
Loved this book. The story seemed to flow right from the start. One chapter led so easily with the next. The picture of high fashion design and the clothing industry made sense as my husband too in in the clothing industry. The character that Steele paint of Sydney is encouraging and graceful. One that does not give up in times of hardship. Weakness overcomes many but this character was encouraging.
