Best Formal Dress Shoe
Cole Haan Men's Lenox Hill Cap Oxford,Best business shoe – easy to slip on, leather is not very shiny but this is good in the sense scuff marks do not show up as very noticeable. The inside heel / sole is made with a rubber like material that makes it comfortable for every day walking. The bottom of the shoe had good grip so you don’t need to spend the extra money for a shoe cobiler to finish the shoe with a tap.Florsheim Men's Montinaro Cap Toe OxfordThe difference between the corbetta and Montinaro is the Corbetta has a rubber grip in betted in the front sole of the shoe and the Montinaro does not. Otherwise it is the same shoeFlorsheim Mens Corbetta Cap Toe OxfordThe difference between the corbetta and Montinaro is the Corbetta has a rubber grip in betted in the front sole of the shoe. This was my number one choice for style, shine, quality and comfort. However once I used the shoe for a day there was a significant crease that showed up on the top of the shoe. This worried me because overtime I could see this getting worse and possibly shorten the life of the shoe if not taken care of properly. I wanted this to be the winner but I could not get over the crease issue. The inside sole has nice leather with memory foam.Anthony Veer Mens Clinton Cap-toe Oxford Leather Shoe in Goodyear Welted ConstructionBest formal dress shoeIn all accounts if you want a formal dress shoe that has leather throughout. Style, and shine are great. You will need to break these shoes in as it does not have a lot of bend to the bottom of the shoe. The shoe comes with a shoe-horn.Stacy Adams Men's Kordell OxfordBest value shoe – not neccesarily quality. The shoe has the appearance of a nice dress shoe but the shoe was slightly big for my foot and when I tied the shoe tight there was excess material that crunched up. It is also a synthetic type leather.

Well made shoe
The shoes arrived in great condition. The fit was good but will require more break in time. I would order from the maker again

Fantastic Value
I am really glad I found these Anthony Veer shoes! I just recently started upgrading my shoes. Within the past 3 months, I purchased my first two pair of Allen Edmonds. AEs are expensive shoes (even on sale), so my initial plan was to save them for when I wear suits. I normally wear dress dress slacks and button up shirts to work most days, and I will wear suits on days with an important meeting or for special social events. But then I started to realize that if I save the Allen Edmonds for suits only, they will rarely get worn. Seemed like a waste of money, so I decided to make the AEs my daily shoes (so I can enjoy them) and get something else to save for suits. That's how I came across these Anthony Veer cap toes. I had never heard of this brand before, but the style of this shoe is exactly what I wanted. A classic cap-toe in black will work for even the most formal occasion. The price was very attractive, and the specs seem to indicate all the right quality features. Plus with amazon's great free returns policy, I figured there was no risk in placing an order to see them in person. What you receive is pretty impressive. Inside of the oddly colored shoe box is the shoes (each in a cloth shoe bag), an extra set of insoles, a NICE brass shoe horn, and an extra set of laces. Nicely done. It gives you the instant impression of quality. The shoes themselves seem really nice. Had I gone from my previous $60 Dockers dress shoes to these, I'd think they were amazing. But after recently getting Allen Edmonds, I could see that the quality of the leather just isn't quite as nice. It's not bad at all, and these will serve me well as my "suit shoes", but you can just see that the grain is not as smooth and perfect. But believe me, you need to look very closely to even notice that. It's probably not fair to compare them to shoes that cost more than twice the price. The fit (at first) seemed too loose. I wear a 9.5 D in most other shoes, and that's what I ordered these in as well. When I first put them on and tied them, they seemed really loose. But they had come pre-laced in an odd way. It was cross-bar (which I like for dress shoes), but it was done weird and it made it hard to sinch them closed properly. I relaced them and the fit is now great.Overall, I am super impressed with these shoes. Especially when they come so darned close to the quality of shoes costing MUCH more.

Very nice shoe
I have to admit this was my first shoe of this caliber. I've always purchased general dress shoes from the local shoe stores ranging 50-75 dollars. Of course those don't last and I decided to do some research on quality shoes. I found different websites but many spoke of the grade of leather (full grain) and the construction (goodyear welted or blake stitching). From there I came across these shoes which were priced well and still had the benefits I was looking for.The shoes came well packaged, they come with extra laces, a shoe horn (with carrier), and bag carriers for each shoe when traveling. When I first tried them on, they were fairly stiff and if I would have tried them in the store I would have put them back (not knowing enough myself about the leather). I was walking around my house like a penguin. I still decided to give them a try and wore them to work. By the end of the day they were much more comfortable and within a week (less really), they are super comfortable. I will admit they are really slippery at first and takes some adjustment from a rubber sole to these. I am really happy with how things are going with the shoes. So far nothing but complements on the shoes.
