Can I give this to a guinea pig? thanks

Yes you can. This is what my vet gave me when one of my guinea pigs had to take an antibiotic to keep their gut biome natural during the medicinal phase. I now purchase it online (cheaper) to keep on hand for when they experience gut issues (diarrhea). Dosage is 1gram 2xDay for the average pig 960-1200g pig. However always confer with your exotic vet for further classification.

Based on this flavor, can anyone recommend a cat food of the same flavor?

I have used this product for my cats for years. I'm not sure you can find a flavor match in meat or fish. My cats loved Probios so much that they would line up at bed time to lick it from my finger tip. Cats can be fussy but that's one more reason why we love them >,<

Does this need to be refrigerated?

There is no indication on the tube for that. I have not refrigerated mine. Needed to use it last week. My dog's diarrhea cleared up in one day!!
