Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Nikon D7000

Wanted to replace the original plastic cover. Seen this, read the reviews and I decided to try it. Easy to install, clean, and clear. Compared to the plastic that I started out to replace, this is a large step up. 4 stars because I have not put in rough conditions. I will be in the desert soon and we will see how that goes. This sticks to the camera with a small self stick strip that goes completely around the camera's screen. Creates a seal all the way around. This should keep all the dust out. The plastic cover trapped debris inside. Recently returned from a trip that was super cold and 60 mph wind. No issues.

Bought this for my new Nikon D7100 based on Amazon search results. Unfortunately this is a little too small for the D7100 screen. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

It does not fit perfectly. The description said it fit D7100 but not even close. It appears to be slightly bigger than camera screen. I'll look for something else that said it's for D7100.

I've hated the plastic screen protector that came with my D7000, but I have been hesitant to take it off for fear I'd scratch the screen permanently. This Vello seems to do the trick. It's glass, so I'm not losing quality (especially in Live View), and it's much clearer to see than with the plastic! It also came with a small protector for the top display (which I wasn't expecting). It's only been on a day, but so far, I like the look of it. NOTE: Whenever you need to replace it, the instructions say to use a hairdryer and carefully peel off the protector. I hope I don't ever have to do that, but it should be better than dealing with a scratched screen!

This is the second Vello LCD Screen Protector that I have bought for my Nikon D7000. The first lasted about three years. I'm not quite sure what I did but one day I looked down and there was a huge crack across the first one. Better the Screen Protector than the screen. The Vello Glass is clear and does not darken the LCD screen. And it stays on. The edges don't start lifting up like the plastic kind. Cleaning is very easy and so was removing the old one. If you love your D7000 you will get this Screen Protector.

I got this thinking / hoping it would fit the Nikon D7100 and it did. Be sure to take your time when you position it on the screen. When those sticky edges make contact, that's it, it's stuck right there. I call it the "get it right the first time tape". Even though it sticks solidly in place there are good instructions on how to remove it if need be.

This is great. The hard plastic screen that came with my camera was all scratched up. This allows me to not use that and feel like I'm protecting the screen from scratches. I've been using it for months now without issue.
