I love these pots I have used them for years.. I have seen other reviews where people claim that their plants became root bound using these. I had that issue once and quickly realized the simplest way to fix it is to make some slices with a razor or a knife in the sides of the pots when it becomes time to finally place them. These things are just too easy to use.

These pots are solid on the bottom. I had previously purchased the exact size and brand at a big box store and those had drain holes on the bottom. Seed pots don't need drain holes, so I appreciated these from Amazon had solid bottoms. I'll remember to look for that next year when I start seeds again.

This is great for tomato seed starting. It is deep enough to give the roots room but also stable enough to not be tippy when the plant gets taller.

Used them for starting tomato plants so I don’t have to transplant when it is to put in the garden.

These pots are excellent for seed starting for two reasons:1) They are extremely cheap. At walmart a 5pack sells for $2.582) They are the prefect size for growing your seeds to a height that is tall enough for transplanting into the ground without having to re-pot in the middle (absolutely unnecessary work if you start off with a pot the right size to begin with)Cons: They are single use only. When you try to take your plant out of the pot you will have to peel the sides of the pot off the plant and ultimately shred the pot into pieces. Do not try to plant the plant with the pot into the ground, there is no evidence the pot will disintegrate or in enough time to let your plants roots grow when they need to.Again Walmart sells these 5" pots for cheap, but may only carry them at certain times of the year. I purchased mine in September. Maybe this was the clearance price, most stores clear out their seeds and seed starting supplies before fall/winter.
