Unfortunately it's not a wall calendar, but that's OK given that the Hobbit calendar is marred by godawful "art"(v. yesteryears Hildebrand et. al.) and lack of tie ins of days to events in the various books, or even just the Hobbit for that matter.The art of this calendar OTOH is FAR superior to that of the Hobbit calendar, however it again lacks tie ins of days to events in the various books. Best of the lot available AFAICT from this as the other options are "movie" calendars which I don't care for at all.Need some flat table space to set this up, has little cardboard figurines, which look nice, but personally I'm more meh about rather having had events from the books depicted on the appropriate days in the calendar months.Maybe next year will bring a return of the event tie ins at least, e.g. I could probably have swallowed the "art" of the Hobbit calendar had it had that little extra, but while this one has a nice presentation/art I still miss the day tie ins.

I bought this because the figures will be great for decorating my Hobbit bookshelf. Perfect. Even has the mountain. I like the calendar part of it as well.

I love this calendar- and the idea of it. However, I can't understand why there is no Oin figure. The party isn't complete without all the dwarves. It makes no sense to leave him out, yet have an Elrond.

Good idea, to buy this beautiful calendar.High quality, nice price.Now the dwarfs, Bilbo, Gandalf and Elrond are around the lonely mountain.... And, it looks very goooood ^^
