Delicate when wet but otherwise pretty great
These pots are somewhat delicate when wet, and will often tear if not handled carefully when lifted while they're wet. However, roots penetrate the pots very easily, and I'm willing to deal with a little more care when transplanting if it means I don't have to bother removing them when actually transplanting to the garden.Great value for the money, will buy again.

Paper pots
These are not peat pots, despite the description. They are made from paper and therefore not as durable as peat pots, so they need a little more gentle handling. When wet they are very fragile. However, I like the fact that they are not made from peat, since peat is a dwindling resource. They seem like they will degrade quickly when planted in the garden.

Not sure if these are peat or cardboard
We compared these pots to ones we purchased last year. This item does not appear to be peat but compressed cardboard.

Must use quickly (mold)
I always have little sprouts from my spider plant and I thought these would be a good way to plant them and give them away. A few days before I was going to give them away I put them in these cups and watered them. Two days later they had white fuzzy mold growing on the outside. It wouldn’t bother me if I was keeping them, but I obviously couldn’t give them away like that. So lesson learned, give them away as soon as you plant them in the pot and don’t add a lot of water because mold will form!

Mold will form
The pots are sturdy and come with little plastic labels, which is very useful. But like other reviewers mentioned, some molds formed on the outside of the pot, some white and some black. Where I live is desert climate (low humidity) and I don't over water. So if you plan to start seeds indoors at the end of winter, and keep them inside for a month or two, don't get these. I think they are for very temporary purpose, like if you give away some cuttings to friends.
