2.8mm CMOS Lens (IR cut)

Works great on a Foscam FI9804W
I installed this on a Foscam FI9804W and it works great. You need the lens to have an IR-Cut filter because the Foscam IR-cut filter needs to be removed in order to get the 2.8mm lens to focus. I'm still working out the kinks as you can see from my pictures (out of focus on the right side), but the increase in field of view is fantastic. The night image is from a 4mm stock lens, the daytime image is from the 2.8mm. It was just the increase I needed to see my whole front yard. And yes, my mailman is the person I "catch" most often with my camera :)Note: The blurry part of the sample photo is the fault of my camera, not the lens. The Foscam has a filter that goes between the lens and the sensor, and even when it's removed it still leaves a small protrusion that prevents the lens from sitting flat when screwed all the way in. I just need to cut it off next time I have the camera down. Just wanted to clarify because this lens is great and didn't want to give it a bad wrap!

works great for a few crashes, scratches too easily
fine lens, i do believe the glass is much too soft. A lens protector or harder glass like a smart phone would be worth double the price
