Nice ceramics
Lovely item, very nice quality just wish it was a little larger. It’s nice that you can use the ceramic flower for a joss stick. Overall a nice item

Stinks
Looks lovely but smells like an indoor bonfire even after 1 burn of a cone, we had to wash the whole item as in the evening the whole front room smelt like an ashtray even without lighting any more cones 😔

Great effect when no draft
Product came as expected, similar to the photos however ceramic is tad browned than expected. Not recommended for placement near any drafts, however the effect is beautiful when it works.

Stunning Piece - Relaxing - Makes a nice ornament when not burning incense
I was drawn to the style of this piece when looking for a backflow burner and liked that the lotus flower can also be used as a separate incense stick burner. The burner itself is a dull ceramic, which I was aware of from an Amazon review of a very similar model, and had a little dust on it from its production.. only a very little dust which brushed off very easily. I knew from the other review that it couldn't be polished and I did wonder if it would look alright in its place and it really does... It looks fab! I'm really pleased with it. I think the burner needs to be unpolished in order to help the smoke cling to it and to move itself down the model more easily. For anyone unfamiliar with this type of burner, only backflow incense cones can be used - they have a hole drilled in their base - a pack of 10 are included in the purchase. After lighting the top of a cone, allow it to burn for several seconds before blowing it out for it to start 'smoking', make sure to place the hole in the bottom of the cone directly over the hole in the burner. If it isn't aligned some smoke will escape from the bottom of the cone so just adjust it so all the smoke goes through the burner. It takes a minute or two for the cones to produce enough smoke to be drawn down and then gradually the smoke will waterfall downwards.I didn't time it but the cones last about 10 minutes or so. It's fascinating to watch - a bit like a real log fire but not quite so exciting as watching dancing flames - but it makes a good focal point to lose yourself in, to switch off from the world for 10-15 minutes and give your mind a rest. Once the cone is finished I tend to light an incense stick in the lotus flower... that tends to round the experience off nicely. The cones are various colours but all produced white smoke and had a pleasant light fragrance. The less air movement around the burner the better, ie having doors and windows closed, as enables the smoke to flow further down and into the hands of the model and flow around it too. The smoke seems to find its way down the hands easier when the lotus flower is in position, smoke will fill the flower too before wafting gently out again. Some reviews for other burner had comments about the smoke staining tables etc but that didn't happen with any of the five different colour cones supplied. It's well packaged in a double walled cardboard box and the whole thing would make a lovely gift - you could just wrap ribbon round the box or just add a bow. The lotus flower is ceramic and quite pretty, the packaging kept it safe and in perfect condition on arrival. It looks a little more delicate than i think it actually is but it will still need careful handling, I doubt it would remain unscathed if it was dropped. The product is a good price on Amazon as on other sites the cost is over 50% more.Overall I'm pleased with my purchase, am happy to buy another as a gift and happy to recommend it.
