Solid base, will work on pretty much any standard home office chair. Can feel how solid it is when sitting. I'm 6'4 225 pounds (skinny fat.)

Fit perfect and well made. Saved me $230+
Worked perfectly on my La-z-boy chair saving me a ton of money for a chair that I really didn't want to replace. Removing the gas cylinder is easier than people are mentioning - just use a pipe wrench or large pliers and rotate it out like a screw, this fit perfectly and while it doesn't have the fancy wire to put the rocking release on the front corner of the chair, it also saved me about $250 on a new chair.
