Q: What type of tape or adhesive should be used to install?

I used a light amount of 3M spray adhesive. Put the gasket in place, scribe around it with a pencil and tape around the outside of the pencil line, put some newspaper in the vent space and spray a light amount of adhesive, remove tape and paper and install the Gasket. The reason you do this is to keep the gasket in place while installing the unit. If you can just drop the unit in you probably don’t need the glue.

Q: Is this the seal around the burner box In-between the ignitor and orifice and the main part?

It is not. That part is this one = Suburban 070811 Burner Access Gasket

Q: will this fit a sf-35 furnace

as far as i know this seal fits your 35000 btu furnace. it is a drop in around the flange. if it is too long, just cut out the excess on the long sides and glue together the remaining long sides. check with ppl rv parts.
